I can’t concentrate!
This morning I tried to log back on to our cruise information to confirm which day we get back (I have a mandatory orientation to attend, or they won’t give me my scholarship). Well, it let me log in just fine, but the reservation and all of the info for the cruise was gone!!!
At first I thought it was just a technical glitch, so I tried clicking around to find it in a different way. when that didn’t work, I told SO that our reservation had disappeared, and he just sort of looked at me, completely expressionless. When I kept talking to make sure he understood what I was saying– they might have lost our reservation and our payments!– he kind of stopped me mid-sentence and said, “Don’t worry. We get back the 14th.” So I dropped it.
But now I am so curious about what he has in our reservation that I’m not supposed to see! I already discovered that he upgraded us to a room with a balcony (which I saw when he asked me to look at the reservation for something else- I guess he forgot I could see that), which he was disappointed that it wouldn’t be a surprise. Clearly he changed the login information for our reservation so he could add another surprise!
This is so crazy, he has gone so over-the-top for this vacation already! I wonder what he could possibly be planning now… and if maybe he is planning to propose on the trip! He has said before,, I’ll know when he is up to something (planning) and something certainly feels odd with how secretive he’s being about the trip!
What do you think? Is he going to propose on the trip, or is he just trying to make it the best trip ever? I’ll try not to get my hopes up, but easier said than done.

Well, when my fiance buys me surprise lingerie I find that I’m locked out of his email account until it’s shipped. So maybe he has a special surprise although nobody knows if he’s going to pop the question. Don’t get your hopes up but don’t get your hopes down either!!

Even if he isn’t proposing you are still getting a fabulous surprise vacation! But my Fiance proposed to me on a surprise vacation so it’s hard for me not to suspect that your man is up to something. hehe
*sending proposal vibes your way*

@MapleMoose: thanks for the vibes!
that’s why i’m so suspicious- i know lots of guys do vacation/destination proposals (which rocks!)
January 7th feels SO FAR AWAY! how can i function for the next month and a half?

Well he’s certainly planning something!! At worst it’s an awesome vacation – and that’s still pretty darned good. But I’ll cross my fingers that he’s planning a little more than that 🙂

Either way, I always paint my nails for vacations. I can see why your gears are turning at high speed. Treat yourself. Get a manicure and you’ll be prepared for a suprise proposal or a suprise super sweet vacation. 🙂

I am with BayStateBride as my hubby proposed on a surprise vacation to disney land….during the fireworks. He had reserved a room above the french quarter with this amazing dinner…. Didn’t even know you could do that! lol 🙂 So I am sending you proposal vibes too, and my vote was for “Paint those nails lady!!” lol 🙂 Hope you have an amazing time either way!!

I think the signs could be read anyway you want it to be, I think he is definately planning a perfect setting, but you can’t guarantee the proposal (though I think your right, it will probably happen 😉
Try not to cross your fingers though, he’s gotta get a ring on it somehow – LOL!

he told me last night i won’t be getting an engagement ring on the trip. apparently his good friend (who is also my sister’s bf) asked about it, and his mom and sister and best friend asked about it, so people have been bugging him about it and he wanted to let me know so i wouldn’t get my hopes up. i’m really glad he told me, and i’m also glad i wasn’t the only one who thought it might happen on the trip.
i’m a little disappointed, of course, but i’m glad i wont spend the whole trip thinking, “is this the moment?” he told me to give him “a couple years” to save up money for a ring, which is a better timeline than he gave me before (“less than five years”). obviously i hope it is sooner than two years, but i’m glad to know he’s been thinking about it. he asked about the whole “3 month’s salary” standard, and i told him it was a bunch of bs from the diamond companies and that the “perfect” ring would be better than the most expensive one. he seemed to not believe me, so we’ll see how long he decides to actually save up.
thanks for reading and answering my poll, girls! looking forward to a great trip in january 🙂

Sorry to hear you won’t be getting a proposal on your trip, but I hope that doesn’t take away from the fact that you are going on an amazing vacation with the man you love! I’m sure it’s going to be incredible.

Hmmm he sounds like he is just trying to throw you (and everyone else) off. I vote that he is still going to pop the question.

@Caizn: i have considered that, and i hope you’re right! but i’m going to proceed as if i know he will not propose. he sounded pretty sincere when he said it, but he’s a good liar.
it will still be an awesome vacation either way!
