I’m prefacing this with an apology, because I don’t know the abbrevated terms for anything I’m about to say lol.
I normally start my period around the 26-28 of the month. It never came in July, and then there has been been some blood every day since August 2nd. It’s not enough for me to think it’s a full blown period though, as it’s barely enough to “soak” a regular tampon each day. My breasts have also been tender for about 2 weeks now.
Does this sound weird to anyone? We’re TTC, so I was thinking, oh maybe this is it, but then I have no idea if there would be blood for this many days in a row. I’m also on holidays, so I haven’t had a chance to grab a pregnancy test…

I would definitely take a pregnancy test as soon as you can. Then no matter what the result, I would call your doctor. If you are pregnant, spotting can be normal for some women. However, doctors prefer to see you early on in the pregnancy and usually more often if you do have bleeding. If you aren’t pregnant, you still probably want to get it checked out since you are ttc.

Sounds more like you are spotting. What color is it? anything that is brown or pink is fine, if you are pregnant, which you dont know you are. As soon as you get a chance, try to test. You could be pregnant. Also, if you just got off the pill, it might be possible that your periods are just trying to regulate. GL

You may have had an annovulatory cycle and just have some hormones out of whack leading to some bleeding. During my long cycles when I didn’t ovulate for about 3 months, every 2-3 few weeks I’d have some bleeding for a week or so.

Just reading back through your threads to get some history, you have PCOS and have recently had an HSG? So it’s not entirely surprising that your period is a bit late. And if it is late, spotting wouldn’t be uncommon. The only way to know if you’re pregnant is to take a test. Good luck!

I’d definitely take a pg test just to make sure. If you’re pregnant you shouldn’t be using a tampon.

@Ryansgirl: I agree with everything pp’s said

Sounds to me like possible pregnancy, but as the other pp’s said, could be anything. Good luck!

@jny1179: My family doctor jumped the gun with the PCOS diagnosis, and my Gyno wasnt so sure because I have had regular periods my entite life, and never missed one, nor has it been late/wonky like this. Definitely could be something to do with my acupuncture resetting my body perhaps?

@Ryansgirl: I’m echoing the PP. Take a test definitely, you never know! We definitely want an update though when you get a chance! ; )
