I notice that in almost every thread there is always someone who says, "Sorry for the huge pic, i don't know how to make them smaller." I never see these huge pics! They are always the same medium-ish size. I do know that when I post pictures, they are always huge in the submit box, but seem to be resized in the post.

Am I missing something here? Or are some of the bee's not realizing they have been resized?

Yea I don't get that either. I mean some are smaller than others and some fill the whole text box... but if you're showing me a pic I want to see it. Dont apologize for making it big enough to see.

I think there is a max size picture can be and they resize down to that size if it is bigger. Also, I hate when people complain because I want to see a larger picture if given a choice in size.

I think it's people just being self-conscious or not wanting to appear that they are overtaking the thread... so they apologize about the size.

I've said this and then they look okay like a regular size. But I leave the apology in there.

What happens for me is I upload it at the max regular size, but I don't know how to resize it, so I apologize in advance because I never know if it's going to come out huge or normal/okay. And like a pp said, I don't want to be taking over the thread. :)

While we're on this topic, I also don't get why people say very pic heavy!  It's almost like they're apologizing for having so many pictures...well gosh darnit, I want to see all you got!!!!

@CorgiTales: i am totally with you. for one, i dont know how to re-size and i feel  no need to apologize for that! and for two,  i could care less if pics are big or small! in facr i prefer them bigger so i don't wish i had a zoom to see details!

I think it's mostly the ring pics.  I know I have one of the ones saved in my uploaded photos that always comes up really big.  I think it's because it's a pro pic, so pretty hi res, but it's kind of like screaming "HERE'S MY BLING IN YOUR FACE!!"

Well, I'm glad to see some other viewpoints on this issue! Like I said, it's never bothered me...I was just curious :] I love it when people say "pic heavy" since I like looking more than reading!

That's like people posting pictures of their shoes with captions like, "Sorry about the chipping pedicure!" And it looks like they just came from the salon... I think people just want to put a disclaimer so people don't judge them? Like cleaning your house before guests but still apologizing "for the mess."

@Ryansgirl: I think people just say that ("pic heavy") to warn people about load time. For most of us load time probably isn't an issue, but a lot of people still have slower connections or slower computers and trying to load a page that has a lot of pics could freeze or crash your computer.

@HelloRaeven: I think it's what you said before, they are huge in the post box.. but when it's on the thread they are fine. I always wondered the same thing, until I realized that the post box makes them huge.

You can actually resize them IN the post box, I'm not sure if anyone know this or not. :)

I've also notice the "pic heavy" but there are only 2-3 pictures. Haha :)

Not sure what people call "huge", but I like large pics, I want to see the details!

Haha I hate it when people say "PIC HEAVY!!!1!!11!!" but then there are only three pictures.

Or when they overcompensate and are like "LOOK AT MY DRESS!!"

haha I always apologize just because I figured it was rude in weddingbee-land (since I always see people apologize for big pics). I actually like big pics...you can see all the detail.

I like it when the pics are "huge", then I can actually see them on my cell phone when I am at work.

I think they think it's going to be huge because they don't realize the bee resizes them automatically once posted.

I agree I like large pics but I thought people only wanted small pics on here and maybe thats whey they were apologizing for the large pic so I started apologizing for it too!

    I always noticed that too.

I also don't get why people (not just here, everywhere) say stuff like "Please disregard the exercise weights on the floor and the weird look on my face!" I probably wouldn't have noticed if you didn't draw my attention to it trying to draw my attention away from it!

The size always seems fine to me. In fact, I prefer a larger photo to see detail and I don't have to squint my old eyes. And like PP stated, I like seeing a lot of pictures too!

The pictures do come up rather larger when you first load them in the text box.

Hm. I always say "pic heavy" because I know that's the thread that's going to get a lot of views.

It's never an apology! It's like "HEY GUYS. OMG LOOK. LOOK AT MY STUFF". Yea, I'm like that.

Although, I don't get the pic resizing thing. I've said "sorry for the huge pic", and then it's turned out ok... so i dunno.
