Are you kidding?? I think it's awesome! Especially the first one. I may just steal it from you, heh!
I actually really like them and if I just heard them I would have had no idea they were from anime! People will think that you have great classical music tastes!
I don't watch Anime and I thought the piano and string versions were really pretty. I'm a self-proclaimed nerd so I don't think it's a big deal at all! It's just pretty music to me =]
hehe, the music is really pretty! i don't know if anyone will know except maybe a few friends if they watch as well? and they would probably appreciate it...so i say go for it!
I'm considering using either a piece of music from star wars or Final Fantasy IV so I'm probably not one to comment on nerdiness but uh...
I think they're both lovely choices. The only thing I would recommend is that you might want to flip them since I think the string piece sounds more upbeat/faster then then the piano which is slower and quieter so the string might be better for your processional?
I *love* instrumental versions of random songs. I downloaded a bunch of Vitamin String Quartet songs for our pre-ceremony playlist and seriously considered their version of Don't Stop Believin' for my bridesmaids to walk to. Also, we walked back down the aisle to the theme song from the TV show Bones. If it's something that's unique to you, totally go for it!
I really love the songs, I'd say go for it! If i hadn't seen the animation, I would have just said- wow, pretty song! I don't think many people will recognize it or call you nerdy for it. In either case, it's a great way to embrace something unique about yourself!
I think both versions are really pretty. I would be vaguely concerned that people might recognize them as the same song, played in different ways, but not enough to bother changing either. They're lovely :)
I think the instrumental versions of this song are amazing. Really pretty and I definitely think you should do it!
@mowi322 I love the vitamin string quartet too. I am also in love with their version of don't stop believing and have to use it some way in my ceremony. I also love their version of sweet child of mine. Amazing!
I'm glad my nerdiness can be embraced in a subtle fashion. :) I really like this music and I like the cohesive feel of using the same melody in two different arrangements.
And I've never listened to Vitamin String before, but they sound amazing! I think I'm going to go check them out!!
If you love it then use it. Most guests will simply acknowledge it as pretty music and won't even recognize where it's from. As long as it's allowed at your ceremony venue, go with whatever music you love, even if it has lyrics.

I love love love this music, but I don't know if it's too, well, nerdy.
This is for the bridesmaids' entrance:

Why am I concerned? Well, because these are the strings and piano versions, respectively, of this:

I'm a fan of animation, and I love the series Ouran High School Club. It's s super cute, enjoyable anime. Is this a classy way of embracing my nerdiness, or is it too much?
