Hello all, any wearing or have worn the rebecca dress by sottero and midgley. been searching the boards for hours but cant see that anyone has even mentioned it. Wanting to see real bride pics. Here's me in mine, shall be wearing her 26th october 2013 :)

Was begining to loose hope. Do you have any pictures of you in your dress. Ive searched high and low and can not find any real bride pictures.
i have opted for a hoop, its just one that i bout on ebay for 10pounds. I havent yet tried it on with the dress though, but in the picture above i have a hoop on which is from the wedding shop.

I think im just going for a 2 hoop, 2 layer petticoat from Ebay too.
I havent got any pictures of me in my dress yet, but it should be with me in the next week or so and i can share some with you then!
Seems this dress is a new season so i have struggled to find any real brides either! With being a slightly larger girl its make or break when you see a plus size bride!
I did intially have my heart set on a Maggie Fiorella until i saw this one!!! Its just stunning!!!

Mines a one hoop with 2 layers of crinoline, it fits on so well, i orderd it from china and it arrived in around 2 weeks.Can i ask where your too in the world, im in the uk.
ohh really, yay cant wait to see pics of you in it, which colour did you order. Ive orderd diamond white but now wishing i had the albaster one, but my fiance said wedding dresses should be white.
i didnt try on any more maggie's or sottero's, tryed on some alfred angelo and vistoria kay and others which i never got the name of, i just love this dress.
Have been thinking though of maybe making have abit more of a sweet heart neckline, think its too straight across for me.

I have gone for Alabaster because im not a white person, i dont like the colour on myself. The diamond white is that pictured? Looks stunning on! Cant believe the difference in your other post between the two dresses!
I didnt try on Fiorella, just searched online after having a very unsuccesful dress trip with very pushy staff :(

I really like the albaster one, please can you send me pics when it arrives so i can see it, really doubting my diamond white one now as seems to harsh, Oh yeah the post where i had the lace dress, i no right, this ones so much better and more wedding like. I cant wait to wear it.

They are mostly on blogs so you cant see the full dress, the top with BMs or the back as their walking down the aisle. Snaps i think by professional photgraphers. :(
I wouldnt think it would be too dificult because the top is more sweetheart than totally straight anyway so the base is there to work with!
Would your dress shop happily swap the dresses for you? Do no local Sottero stockists have an alabaster dress for you to see the difference? Or even order in a sample for you? xxx

yeah i think the sw neckline would would, when my dress comes in next year i will ask the seamstress how much it would be as it depends on the cost weather i get it done or not.
um im not sure about the colour yet, my mum, nan and maid of honour who came with me said that diamond white looked lush as im not plae so it suited and i no my fi has mentioned he thinks wedding dresses should be white so il probably stick, its just that th model photo on the sottero and midgley website is wearing albaster and it looks really nice. xxx
I think its always hard to judge by pictures isnt it! But white def isnt for me so i went with Alabaster! Its a gorgeous colour! You just need to go with you feel comfortable in!

Hopefully this works better! Both colors are beautiful but this one worked best with my skin tone!

Welllllll I ordered a 12 in May but lost 50lbs since.... So my alterations ending up costing a fortune! The picture I posted is from May! I didn't change the neckline at all... I actually wanted more of a sweetheart but the lady altering said not to! I opted against the hoop... I love it just as is! I did have loops put in to bustle..I didn't realize how heavy that dress was until I had to stand there getting pinned for the alterations! Did you order your dress yet?!
nope mine is getting orderd on jan 15th when i pay off the rest of the deposit so could still change my mind on the colour, think i will try it on again and see if they have something in albaster that i can try on.
I have bought a hoop off of ebay but will defo try it on again with it when i have my dress and its been alterd so i can decide if i will dfinetly wear it or not, i just remember it being easier to walk in lol, i tried on a 14 and it fit pretty well but i am counting calories and exercising and hopeing to loose a stone or more so may order the 12, i will see what the measurments come up like in january.
Brilliant how did you loose the weight, i have good days then i have days when i feel like crap so just eat crap lol.
Do you have nay pictures of the dress bustled at all, at least you get to wear yours very soon, cant wait to see pictures of you wearing it at your wedding if you post any :)

yeah, its a little smaller than the one i tried on in the shop but it has 2 layers of crinoline attached to it, i cant wait to try it on again, maybe i should make an appointment before jan 15th just to try it on again, or would that be crazy lol.
to be fair ive been abit crap recently and defo have not been exercising, i did 1200 cals last year and jogged 3 times a week and lost 20lbs in a few months so i no i can do it, its just actually doing it lol. Im moving on monday right next to a canal so i plan to jog up and down the canal at least 3 times a week and do 1200-1400 cals a day, got over 10 months till the wedding so sure i can loose a stone or 2, if im good :)
havent decided on a veil yet to be fair, was waiting to get my actuall dress in, get it adgusted and then see from there. ohh the bustle sounds complicated lol, wish you had a pic. im not sure weather to get one or leave it down but dont want people stepping on it lol.

As for the bustle...you couldalways have them put in the ties in case and if you want itbustled at least you hthe the option...or wait a few weeks and I can show you mine!

we havent got the briodesmaids dress's yet, since my wedding isnt untill october they want to wait untill july incase they loose or gain weight.

Phew a fair few comments to catch up on ladies! First of all wow you look stunning in the dress!!!
I am having a bustle put in my dress as we speak, just waiting on it being returned from the dress maker!
After seeing the difference between both pics i cant decide if i want a hoop or not now!?
I joined Slimming World and lost almost 2 stone with having my daughter, but have since not really put in a lot of effort to it! :/ But the plan was sooo oeasy to follow, i really should get back into asap! You eat as much as you want of "free" foods which is meat, veg and rice/pasta/noodles etc and "syn" the rest, with an allowance of 10.15 syns a day. you dont even need them really though! I was never hungry! It def worth looking into for a weightloss that stays off, i think i fluctuate between 1lb or 2lb and i stopped back in July....

October seems so far but you will be amazed how quick it gets here! Good idea on waiting until July for BM dresses! I wish I would have waited a little longer to order my own and maybe my alteration cost would be a bit less!

What color dress did you go with?! The hoop looks amazing with that dress! Now I am kinda wanting one too! I have never heard of Slimming World! I think everyone goes on a diet before their wedding :)

I would purchase a hoop just incase, then you have the choice on the day. i can give you the sellers name on ebay if you like, mine cost me 9 pounds from china and is pretty good :)
i did slimming world a few years ago but it didnt seem to work for me, also tried weight watchers and that worked whilst i was on it but couldnt afford to keep it up, counting calories i do on myfitnesspal.com on my phone, and i will be jogging 3 or 4 times a week. i also live in a high rise 10 storey flat so think i may run up and down the stairs a few times when im bored lol :)
yeah im hopeing it will fly by, i got engaged in july and i have no idea where that time is gone, its december on sat lol, cant believe it.

i think you surchase a hoop if your rethinking, at least that way you have it if you want it but you dont have to use it, thats what im going to do, just see how i feel and what looks best on the day. xx
i followed the Extra Easy plan, and is just that. I dont think they had that a few years ago, but i just went to the first meeting after New Year and got all the books and did it myself, and weighed myself every week at my local Tesco on the machines there. A friend of mine has done various from Scottish Slimmers, to Weight Watchers and by far Slimming World was the easiest and most successful, no calorie counting! I had hoped to loose a bit more before my wedding 
but the dress has been ordered and altered, so without paying a fortune to alter it again by feb!
I have gone for the dress in Alabaster, i just love the colour and like you, suits my skin tone better, im not also not a White dress kind of bride! My colour scheme is black and champagne so the alabaster works so well with it.
We decided to get married in January and the married within a year so 13 months, and we now just have under 3 to go. It really does go by in a blink of an eye! Just over 3 weeks until Christmas then after new year its just under 7 weeks until our big day! Eeeek!
I have found a petticoat from Ebay that i like the look of, will just see what looks best when it arrives!

i didnt really get on with the extra easy plan as you can eat alot of free carbs and my body doesnt like carbs lol.
The albaster is a lovely colour, spoke with finace last night and he said he defo wants to see me in a white dress so going to stick with diamon white :)
It does fly buy doesnt it, cant belive its already been 4 months since we got engaged, and where the hell did december come from lol.

Hi!! I actually just talked to my florist one more time this morning and I'm doing my seating chart tonight! I'm getting nervous but excited! I think I'm really just ready for the honeymoon! I tried airbrush makeup over the weekend and I was amazed how pretty it makes your skin!
Honestly the time goes sooooo quick!!!! Im hoping to have my dress back by the 6th dec so not long!!!!! Cant wait!

Ive never tried air brush make up and dont no anyone that does it, im thinking of probably going low key on make up, my fiance hates it lol. so a little foundation blusher and mascara il probably be wearing :) xxx
OOHHH how exciting, how did the seating plan go, im dreading that one, but im hopeing it wont be too bad as im doing table plans but not seating plans, so itl be like you 8 are sitting on that table and once your there sit in which ever chair you want lol. Hopeing it'l make it easier :)

Hiya Yes my wedding dress arrived on Wednesday! The bustle looks stunning, but its being stored at my mums for now and my phone battery died so i am going over again in the next few days, fingers crossed by hoop arrives this afternoon!
Airbrush can be amazing if done correctly, but a bad job and its just like someone plastered orange paint on your face! LOL I think i am missing out make up because i am so fussy with being a Make Up Artist myself, i cant find anyone i like, or i can afford! Someone says wedding and the price is shocking! xxx
yay im glad it arrived and it looks good, i cant wait to see it and the bustle. ahh bloody phones lol, im dieing to see it, i havent seen mine for so long and its so nice seeing it on other people, i havent even seen a bustle on it so cant wait to see what that looks like :) not long to go now for you :)
