I really have no idea what I am supposed to do on the day before my wedding.
I am already planning to have my nails done, and pamper myself the night before.
Other then that though I am clueless as to what to do! What did you bees do the day before your wedding?
I don’t know if I should have a wedding rehersal the week before our wedding or the day before. Me, my FI, the officiant/best man, and my M.O.H are flexible and can make it almost any day of the week. I am worried about my other bridesmaid and two groomsmen, they live about an hour away from where the wedding venue will be held…is that really out of their way? It will take us about an hour to get there too so the venue is right between us.

@JoJoDahling: I wouldnt wait until the day before to do the rehersal, although thats just me. I would, go over your wedding night bag, finish packing for the HM, get your nails done and relax!

Due to my MOH, BM and one of DH’s GM’s being a few hours away, we had to have our rehearsal the day before, so that occupied a lot of my time. I got my nails done that afternoon and packed my mini-moon bag and my day-of kit that day as well. Got my e-ring cleaned too.

I did my rehearsal 8 days before my wedding. The day before, I went for my brazilian wax, manicure, and pedicure. I also washed my hair that night because my hair lady said it will be more manageable that way. I had a nice big dinner with my family and went to sleep at a decent hour.

Just tie up any loose ends and relax…cuz you’re getting married! 🙂
Have the rehersal at the time most convenient for those involved.

I spent much of the day before my wedding decorating the ceremony and reception venues.

My plan is rehearsal on Thursday and then getting a hotel room on Friday. BM’s and I are doing nails, massages, etc. Then the night of FI and I are doing a private dinner at the hotel. I think it’s fun to just get all your BM’s together and go over last minute details and such. Personally, I just say RELAX!! The following day is going to be so hectic!

I’m planning on having a day at the spa! Massage, nails, etc. I just need to relax a bit. Hopefully everything goes according to this plan 🙂

@out4answers: Yeah I gotta make sure I relax! I am so worried that I’ll go to bed and then wake up some unGodly hour and just be wide awake. x_x
@AmeliaBedelia: I’ll ask my bridal party if they think they can be flexible for our wedding rehersal, then I’ll be able to decide what day I can have the rehersal. Did your wedding rehersal go well? Or was it hectic?
@Rubbs: You are brave. A brazillian wax? You go girl! I’ll be doing maintenance myself. Thanks for the hair tip by the way!
@MzJynxie: Thank you!
@paula1248: I wish I could do that. My venue won’t let me prep there until 12pm.
@Jessy727: That is a great idea! Spending time with your FI the night before, that is very sweet.
@MusiqueEstVie: Good luck on relaxing! I wish I had the money to go to a spa. I’ll have to settle on pampering myself at home.

Be careful of spa stuff the day before. You don’t want your pretty face to react negitively to any creams or masques or anything like that.
I know it’s a prom checklist, but most of it carries over to wedding stuff =)

@JoJoDahling: Now you’ve got me thinking… I must have had to do some reception venue decorating the morning of the wedding because they would’ve needed the venue the night before. My memory’s a bit of a blur because we went there a couple of times that week. But I certainly decorated the church the day before because I remember checking the decorations during the rehearsal.

We’re planning on setting up/decorating at 2pm then checking me into the hotel at 4pm rehearsal at 5:30pm and rehearsal dinner at 7pm. After that we might have a few drinks with friends before I attempt to get some beauty sleep.
I’m planning on nails and all the the week/weekend before so I don’t feel so rushed.

@JoJoDahling: I suppose it went fine. The one issue we had was we weren’t let into the venue on time. But the rehearsal itself went fine. In hindsight, I would have loved to have it the week before, but there just wasn’t time and I didn’t want to have them driving up, yet again, for wedding related stuff after the showers and bach. parties, etc.

We are doing our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner the night before because half of the wedding party is flying in (and obviously couldn’t take an entire week off before the wedding). So we’ll be busy doing that, hanging out with family and friends who flew in from out-of-town. I hope to fit in a manicure and some relaxing in between all of that, too. 🙂

The day before, I did a lot of running around. I dropped off my ring for cleaning, I had to run to work to pick up my paycheck and request time off for the honeymoon (they knew I was leaving already, but because of the way our system works, my PTO didn’t become available for me to officially request off until that day), I went and got my nails done with a couple of BMs, I packed my bags for the weekend and honeymoon, I set up the reception site, I checked into my hotel by the wedding venue, and then we had the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. It was crazy.
