I had to get over it as I work in an office, but I hate the sound of loud typing on a keyboard (the CLACK CLACK CLACK sound drives me nuts!) especially when it goes on forever…

@icanhearyousmile:  AAHHH!! I have the same reaction you had. . . to people cracking their knuckles or otherwise crunching their bones! If someone near me cracks their knuckles or crunches their wrists, ankles, back, or neck, I automatically cringe and make a “euuuhhgh” kind of sound. It’s embarrassing because I am so bothered by bone/joint cracking sounds that I literally cannot suppress the cringe/wince expression on my face or the grossed-out noise even if I’m surrounded by people!

Knives and forks on plates makes me cringe!  Thankfully with my friends/family we are usually talking over each other when eating so it’s not something I hear too often.

Also a guy I work with breathes REALLY loudly!  Once I sat next to him in a meeting and it drove me crazy.

Makes me want to punch him in the throat!

Ok this is super weird and not even a sound people even make, but for whatever reason, the idea of this makes me cringe and want to curl up in a ball and die.

Teeth on socks. Like sliding your teeth back and forth along socks.

Again, NO IDEA where this came from, but for as long as I can remember, that has been my “nails on chalkboard” sound.

I also HATE heavy breathing. I work with this guy who breathes so loudly and it drives me insane.

@annb9:  That made me laugh. I of course had to picture myself rubbing my teeth on socks. I can see how it would be a bad noise.

@icanhearyousmile:  Hahaha, I’ve heard of seperate beds, but not seperate salad eating LOL.

I think my noise is “voices from another room,” which sucks because I live in an apartment building. Doesn’t matter if it’s a TV or a real conversation, I can hear your mumbly voices through my walls and my ears just hone in on it. Even background music can’t drown it out all the time! I can’t ignore it and it makes me really aggravated for some reason!
And speaking of TV’s, add in that high-pitched screech of an old TV (the big CRT ones) or certain appliances and I’m done. I will search the house until I find it and then I will unplug it. FI has a knock-off phone charger that does that, it drives me batty.

music through someone else’s headphones… like on the subway when someone has their headphones in and their music is loud enough to hear but not loud enough to understand… ya know? it literally makes me RAGEY and i give them the worst cut eye of their lives.

also the sound cotton makes… like in a pill bottle. omg, i wanna die.

I’ll have to go with a really obvious one. Snoring!!! It drives me crazy. I can’t even sleep when the person beside me is breathing heavily but snoring is probably the only thing in the world that could make me commit murder! lol Earplugs are my best friends.

When my SO and I were staying in a hotel once he snored so loudly not even my super-heavy-duty wax earplugs helped. I ended up taking my pillow and duvet and spent the rest of the night trying to sleep in the bathtub! Needless to say I wasn’t at all successful – it was sooo uncomfortable! lol It’s an anecdote now but boy was I a Grumpy Cat that following day :p
