I’m studying to be a speech-language pathologist so I’ve dealt with soundwaves a lot and saw something similar. I don’t think I could ever wear it on my ring, just personal preference, but I am planning on getting a canvas above our bed with each of our soundswaves and the words on it!

I saw that on a fact page on Facebook and thought they were adorable. I’d get them, but, then considered I’d rather our rings reflect our personalities so they’d be different. Our inscriptions will match up, though.

@Kissed_by_lightning:  I saw this on reddit a while ago and thought they were adorable and so thoughtful. Soundwaves have little to no meaning to me,but they seem to mean a great deal to you and your FI! If you think they’re impractical, you could always get plain bands with the sound waves engraved on the interior or exterior of the rings.

I like them but I’d want them in a carving not cut out all the way…like engraved instead

I think they are super cute!
If you’re worried about comfort, the engraving idea is great!

I love this so much!!! If you think you may tire of the cut out, ask some jewelers if it would be possible to engrave the pattern on the inside of the ring. I have my husband’s fingerprint on the inside of my ring, and he has mine on the outside of his. Maybe a wax cast can be made with an imprint of the sound wave pattern? We got our rings through Fabuluster on ETSY if that helps. They may be able to point you in the right direction of an artist who could help.

My husband and I considered these briefly and my husband went, “They’re cute and all, but how can you make sure the engraving is your “I do” soundwave? For all we know, it could be saying “Dickbutt” or “Super slut.”

So, we wrote that one off.

@Kissed_by_lightning:  I think it’s a cool idea but I wouldn’t do it. I don’t like it being carved out, and I think the rings are too big and bulky. Personal preferences.
