I have, on multiple occasions, attempted to do the South Beach Diet. A friend of mine stuck to it religiously and busted her ass at the gym and TOTALLY reached her goal weight! It was amazing. Has anyone out there tried this? Successfully? The really hard part for me is that I’m a “pescetarian”, the onyl meat I eat is sea food, so it’s tricky to diet.
I REALLY want to do this. I need to lose like, 10% of my body weight to get back to my ideal weight/ shape. But for some reason it seems SO HARD 🙁 I know I’m preaching to the choir, but I always try to talk to my fiance about this, and he says I’m perfect just the way I am. He’s totally bias and just says that because he has to (he keeps saying he’s going to have me committed for low self esteem *sigh*) My girlfriends are all skinnier than I am, and it just dosn’t help talking to them.
Both FH and I have put on a few pounds over the past few years that we’ve been together, which I hear is totally normal. I just need that spark to get my ass in gear! I know I can do it. I wish I could check into some boot camp and do nothing but focus on weight loss for the next 6 weeks… my sister’s wedding is in 6 weeks. Mines in 7 months.
