We booked Eyenamics out of Terre Haute. Love them! Definitely more modern...not sure what your budget it but you should check them out!!
I ended up hiring Wayne Harvey http://wayneharveyweddingvideoproductions.com/ , mostly because of availability and pricing (only $500 to have just the ceremony filmed).
I'll be honest, it wasn't entirely what I had hoped for. He is much more the traditional wedding video style, and not the modern videos you see on the wedding blogs. He was also a little corny, like interviewing us before the ceremony and stuff. I just wanted a tape of the ceremony, not a story.
If there had been no budget involved, I was really impressed with http://www.threadandfilm.com/weddings/home.html , but they were way too expensive for us. If you are doing a Basilica wedding, I would probably recommend just getting the Basilica video crew--since the cameras are the ones they use for televised mass, it would be the least intrusive option.

Originally getting a videographer was not in our budget, but I just found out my uncle is willing to pay for it so that my grandfather can see the wedding (he is unable to attend due to health issues).
Even though I'm not paying, I still don't want to break the bank. We are getting married in the Basilica at ND, and their official photographer is $1000 just for the ceremony. Ouch. It also seems like their video is just a straight recording of the ceremony, with no editing at all--they proudly proclaim on their website that they give you a copy immediately after the ceremony ends.
I'm looking for recommendations for someone who would do a more modern video, but won't break the bank. Anyone have any ideas?
