I'm getting married in West Palm Beach, October 24th, 2009. Haven't firmed up a venue yet, but I think we'll be doing a country club wedding. Now I just need to find a cool area for pictures. I'm not feeling the flat golf course look. I'm more for the edgy industrial/urban looks, myself....

I am getting married June 6, 2009 in Hollywood, FL at my old church. I am not sure where the reception will be just yet. I am currently living in Tallahasssee and finishing up with school, but grew up in Miami/Broward my whole life!

I'm newly engaged and already planning for my wedding in Feb 2010. Still trying to figure out details such as finding a Catholic church to get married in (which is quite the task) and a reception venue, and everything else needed that won't break the bank!

I live in Boca Raton and it would be nice to meet other bride to bees (hehe) in the area to share ideas and such. :)

hi. I am new too wedding bee.....just got engaged a week ago!! hip hip hooray.
Let's just preface I may be allergic to wedding planning, everytime i think about it I get really naush.....my stomach flips and the idea of invites, and people, and everything...ahhhhhhh. Been reading posts about the islemorada weddings. I am deciding between somewhere in S. Fl, keys, or destination. Any advice is helpful.

BTW if any of you S.FL girls need someone to do alternations, make custome dresses (wedding gowns, BP dresses, MOB, MOG, etc) let me know!! I have this amazing girl, SO lucky to come across who does everything very good quality, very reasonable price as she is saving to start her own wedding gown collection!!She's doing all my BMs, MOH, MOG, MOB, and a special dress for me for the 1st dance!!!!

She's truly amazing, and wedding dresses/gowns is her area of expertise. Plus, she is a doll to work with- responsible, helpful, and gets it done! PM me, I am currently her liason at the moment, but once I tell her and she is able to do it (with her schedule) I will give you info to contact her directly. Just have to run it by her first before I start giving out her info to everyone and she gets overwhelmed. I mean just with my dresses, shes making 12 dresses, she also does the measurements, fittings, alterations, and will be there the day of my wedding in case of an emergency (thats just because my BP is so large!)

@splatt11x: I live in the Keys and am looking for someone to do alterations to my dress. I found a great dress that I absolutely love, but it's size or two too big. I know that alterations depend on the dress, do you think that your friend may be able to give me an estimate on what she would charge for alterations if I send her a picture of the dress? We're on a tight budget, and I don't want to ruin the dress by having an inexperienced person alter it, but I also can't afford to spend a ton getting it fixed. Thanks for your help!
