Hi Alyx, I’m not sure about a space that could fit 100, but The Chateau Inn in Spring Lake, NJ is beautiful and holds 50 in their banquet room. You can then hire a catering company (I recommend Shore Catering) to cater, you could make an affordable menu out of some nontraditional items. I’ve also heard that the Wall Fire Hall is nice too? I would look at Fire Halls and outside catering, it will be the only way to stay in budget – esp if you want 100 people. I would also consider a Friday or Sunday, maybe even a Sunday brunch?

How do you feel about a lot of DIY? I had The Paulsdale House in Mt. Laurel booked, and they allow you to bring in all your own vendors, so there’s definitely ways to move with that! Also, check out the Pratt Gardens in Woodstown. If you really want a hall, there’s tons of small fire halls or moose lodges around!

AlyxAbreu:  How far south do you consider SJ? Is that budget for your whole reception w/ food or just for the venue rental?
