I got married at South Coast Winery Resort & Spa and that was located in Temecula, CA which is about 60 miles from San Diego.
The venue was AMAZING and beautiful and they give the bride a nights stay the night before the wedding and they give the newlyweds a nights stay the night of the wedding.

They are very reasonably priced and it includes the food which is very good as well.
There is Whisperingoaksterrace.com in Temecula/Pala, CA. They are very reasonably priced, outdoor location that you can bring your own caterer. Im not sure if 250 will fit, and the reception would be outside as well... but worth looking into.
Marina Village in Mission Bay! You can use ANY caterer you want. It's in the heart of SD and VERY affordable. They have numerous rooms to fit different sized events. Check it out!
She may want to try the La Jolla Cove Bridge Club. It's a very pretty venue in a great spot.

Hi Bees-
My cousin is still desperately trying to find a venue for her March 2012 wedding and I am hoping the BEE can come to the rescue.
Here are the details:
-Venue should be within 100 miles of San Diego. The closer the better.
-BYO Catering.
-Outdoor ceremony location with possible indoor reception.
-Cost around or under $2,000.00 (catering not included)
-Must accomodate 250 people
Any ideas are welcome. Thanks!!!
