Hello Bees!! I’m having trouble finding inspiration on paper for the wedding I see in my mind! Our ceremony/reception venue is at an old historic home in Southwest Virginia. The link is http://www.rockwood-manor.com/ if you want to take a look! The ceremony will be in the front of the house and the reception in the back yard. We’re having about 200 people with either a buffett or stations. I’m having color issues… my dress is ivory and I’m thinking that my bridesmaids will wear green (the color I’m looking at is called Olivine from David’s Bridal) I need inspiration pictures of backyard outdoor weddings with a southern feel. I’m thinking greens oranges and browns with touches of ivory or champagne (is that too many colors?!?). I want the round lanterns in the trees and maybe mason jars on the tables. I like the chalkboards I’ve seen… My mind is going in circles and I can’t seem to get pointed in the right direction! If you have seen any pictures that look like what I’m trying to describe, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see them!!!! Thanks so much!! OH PS… I want to be able to DIY a lot of the decor…

Hey there. I got tons of inspiration from Southern weddings online, martha stewart, IN style weddings, and on here. Hope that helps. I uploaded one picture I found online of an outside wedding.

Try Googling under the "image" section for southern outdoor wedding, outdoor wedding, outdoor wedding board, or any of your colors followed by "board" for a collage of pics 🙂

I think it sounds great! I am having an outdoor reception at my grandmother home. My fiance is worried it is not going to look good. It is going to be a "garden party" type theme. Lots of candles, xmas lights. Don’t stress and do what you want, but try to keep it simple cause sometimes to much looks bad.

Ooh! Order Charleston Weddings magazine!
I’m a Charleston bride so i’m partial, but man… there are some BEAUTIFUL southern weddings!
Also, offbeatbride just featured in this past week a charleston-area wedding that was at a plantation, which had a similar feel to yours!
And… hmm… MARTHA loves the southern weddings!
ps @amysue-i love tara guerard’s work. If I could afford her… she would be doing my wedding!
