Any other Bees in the South waiting for the winter storm to hit? I live in South Carolina, where I’m a teacher, and our school has been cancelled tomorrow because we will potentially have ice and snow. It seems crazy, though, because it’s pretty warm and totally clear outside!

I’m in Northern AL waiting. Some schools have been closed and they already issued a liberal leave policy for my job (which just means that if you are absent because of the weather it’s okay).

It just started here about 30 mins ago and the sleet is coming down like crazy!
I’m sure school will be cancelled (my daughter is NOT liking the possibility of that!) I will most likely work from home which I will LOVE! 🙂

I’m in NC and waiting on it to start 🙂 I live in Durham, but I’m at my parents’ house now, west of Charlotte and on the NC/SC border. Hoping for lots of snow, but not freezing rain as we’ll lose power like always.

I’m on Upstate SC and we are still waiting on the snow to come. The governor just closed all state offices tomorrow, before the first flake has even appeared!

Not southern US…southern Canada. We’ve had a weather warning for 2 days now, during which it’s been whiteout conditions basically straight through. Right now the temperature with windchill (40-60 km/h) is -26 celcius.

Wow, I wish when it snowed here in the UK people were more organised with closing offices etc beforehand, it’s like they’re scared to do it.
@soon2bhis: -26C wow. Got any pics or anyones else? I adore snow.

I saw lots of pics on facebook last night from friends/family that lives in Atlanta – it was really cool to see because it so rarely happens!
I live in NoVA and we are expecting the same storm to hit us tomorrow around noon – expecting anywhere from 1-6 inches so I imagine there could be chances of things closing. I love snow closings!!!

I’m in north Atlanta, and we had like 5 inches of snow. No one has even left our neighborhood!
