Can anyone recommend a cake baker/artist in the area? I’m looking for someone who can create a groom’s cake that is in the shape of a baseball cap or something related to his favorite sports team. So far I’ve only been able to find standard round cake bakers & decorators.

We are going with the European Bakery in Falmouth. They are the best tasting cakes in the area and a real treat to work with! I’m not sure if they do groom’s cakes but it is worth asking.

Confection Art in York, ME is pretty pricey but they’ll do anything crazy you can think of 🙂
PS We used European Bakery for our cake and loved them!

Not sure if you found some one, but my sister is a baker located in Portland! http://www.nothingbakeslikeaparrott.com. She recently made a cake for her husband – a Boston Bruins jersey! [attachment=277692,32837]

I wholeheartedly agree with the recommendation for Jessica Parrott. I have her as my cake maker and she is fabulous! The cake is delicious and she is super accommodating. The price is really reasonable too, especially since I am having it delivered to my location 70 miles away!

I LOVE the European Bakery in Falmouth, too. Every time we go back to visit, we go there.

Good Eats Boutique! It’s in Portland and we have our tasting set for a few weeks – they are SO nice and very reasonably priced.
