I have never heard of coupon codes for Southwest! But I just googled it and it seems everything is with a package...like a hotel or an event. Are you planning to stay in a hotel? Have you used one before?
o_O coupon codes? my mom works for southwest and as far as i know, they only have that for packages and things like military like Mrs Green Grass said.
Yeah, that's all I was able to find, too. I just started looking because they have a "promo code" box...that means they must exist, right? haha. We are staying with friends of ours, so we don't need a hotel, otherwise I would be right on that!
If you sign up for their emails (not sure if you can do it from the web site or only get them after having booked flights before), they send out updates on specials. I'm not sure if they require a code or not. Come to think of it, you might have to sign up for their rewards program to get those deals, but I think that's free!
rapid rewards doesn't usually require you to put in codes (though sometimes they will), it generally just alerts you to when there are sales. those sales are the same advertised on the site, they just happen to be sent to your inbox too. promo codes would mostly be used for if your company had one issued to them that they were using, and then it would only be for specific flights, not a blanket 30% off for example.
From working with Southwest through my work and previously having a LDR across country..keep checking different days & different hours with Southwest. They are constantly changing their prices.
One time when I was looking at flights while out in CA to come back to MA on my computer I had one price, BF was looking at computer & had a higher price. I refreshed my page and it changed to his price.
And from working in Corporate always check Tuesday mornings for flights. For some reason flights are always cheaper on Tuesdays...just a trend that myself and another co-worker found.
EDIT: By Tuesday I mean looking up flights on a Tuesday morning, not booking a flight for Tuesday..sorry
@Ms Sassy: i second this.
i'm currently in an LDR and try to fly about once a month and am constantly checking. the Wanna Get Away flights usually jump about 2 weeks prior (so it probably jumped that $100 on the 30th) and then disappear a week prior. if lots of seats haven't been sold, then the price will drop - otherwise it'll keep rising. it all depends on how busy your route is. so, you have until the 6th to decide if you want to book at the Wanna Get Away price.

My DH and I are going to visit Portland on the 13th. We're hoping to fly, but prices went up a $100 since the last time we checked. = ( Any of you ladies happen to have a coupon code or something that will help us eat the cost? Thanks!
