Im starting to think of booking my spa services a week before the wedding. Some people have advised me that its always a good idea to do a couple to help with relaxation.
Did you? Are there services you wished you did or didnt do.
So far i have planned to do a steam, relax massage, facial, arm pit waxing and pedi/mani.

- Wedding: October 2011 - Bed & Breakfast
Mr. LK and I got a couples massage in our suite the night before our wedding. Best idea ever! We also made full use of the steam shower and jacuzzi in our suite to unwind. I also got a mani/pedi 2 days before the wedding, but that was a regular occurrence back then.
For the facial, make sure you tell them no extractions or anything even a little harsh. The last thing you want is inflammed skin in your wedding day.

I got waxed (never again for me lol) and did nails and I MIGHT have done a facial?
I think it’s all a great idea, just be careful about getting a facial. You probably want to make sure you aren’t doing something new, maybe get one a few months before as a trial? Last thing you want to do is break out or your skin dry up and be peeling off right before your wedding!

Thanks ladies! MsJ2theZ: lovekiss:
The only reason why i thought arm pit waxing is because my hair growth is ridiculous and i dont want any stubblies!
Good call on the facial.. maybe I will book that a couple weeks before the wedding versus the weekend before!

Nikkimcq: I would say do the facial both a couple weeks before, and then do it as part of before the wedding ritual if you have no adverse reactions. I might suggest to try what ever wax your salon uses prior to right before the wedding as well. I have sensetive skin, and have to be very careful about products I use because I have had alergic reactions, dry skin, and break outs in the past due to different products. The place I go to did some tests strips prior to doing a lot of things. At the same time, if you do these treatments too far a head of time, you will lose any benfits you would have had.
I am having two spa days before my wedding. A week before, I’m having my hair cut and colored so it is fresh for the wedding. Two days before I’m doing a mani-pedi and a massage to relax. Really, its more so I can have my phone off and happily redirect anyone to someone else for a couple hours. 🙂

Misswhowedding: This sounds great!
I thankfully have never had any reactions, but with my luck it would be now i would lol. I think I like your idea of two spa days. Thinking I will do a facial and waxing two weeks before, and leave the mani/pedi/massage to the day before 🙂

I had a full spa regime the week leading up to the wedding!!
Tuesday – Facial. Note I was getting monthly facials and knew I didn’t break out, so I felt very comfortable getting a facial without
Wednesday – Waxing (Upper leg, full arm, and brazillian)
Thursday – Massage & Body Wrap
Friday – Hair trim (just a clean up) & blowout for the rehearsal dinner. Mani/Pedi. I took Friday off from work

Hair maintenance and pedi/mani is a must, but I started mine 2 days before my wedding. Just be sure you are on the salon about schedule, there were issues on my end, but then again, it was a destination wedding and that usually comes with the territory. Save the massage for AFTER the day, it will pay off in spades. Congratulations!

Just booked mine for 2 weeks before the wedding… swedish massage, signature facial, and I may throw in a body wrap just to make it extra special : )
Mani/Pedi will be done closer to the actual wedding date of course.
