I’m getting married at the NY Botanical Gardens. I love the venue but the bridal suite is too small for all of us to get ready in. I am looking for hotels in Manhattan that will be spacious enough for 9-10 women to be in at the same to get ready! Wondering what others have done or will do? Also, where do you plan to take pictures aside from your venues??

I am curious to hear people’s responses to this as well. Right now i have suites booked at The Carlton and the Gansevoort Park Ave, but I haven’t had the chance to see either in person yet. I plan on keeping one of the suites for getting ready and our wedding night, but I really want to visit them in person first. I’m also hoping to do some pictures at whichever hotel we pick – I suppose I’ll have to talk to them about pictures when I see the rooms.

Ask about hospitality suites. Sometimes these are 2-3 bay guestrooms that have been opened up and furnished like living rooms to serve for small functions. Sometimes they connect to a guestroom as well.
You can rent them for the day of the wedding in addition to your guestroom for sleeping.

The Marmara Manhattan has HUGE rooms and suites (especially for Manhattan). I stayed there for my wedding, and we had plenty of room for getting ready. Plus, the lobby is amazing and a great place for some photo ops. My photographer took a few bridal portraits there.

Just thought I’d update in case others are curious about this as well – I ended up booking an Empire suite at the Carlton hotel and it was perfect. The interior was glamorous and gorgeous for photos, and the room was plenty spacious for me, 6 bridesmaids, and my mom to get ready together. The room had 2 double beds too, so my 3 closest friends stayed over the night before the wedding. The lobby is also gorgeous and we used it for our first look and family photos.
