    My fiance just lost his mom 3 months ago. One of the ways I wanted to honor her was by putting a poem inside of the programs. I know what I wanted to say in English but was unsure of how to say it in Spanish (his fam is Dominican). Can you please translate this to English, just to make sure I got it right? BTW- I used  translator and sometimes its not exact!

    Estimado Señor, por favor claro un lugar para ella:
    ella debe tener una vista perfecta.
    Su pequeño hombre de hoy es un novio,
    y estoy contando con usted.
    Que sienta su presencia;
    mientras espera al final del pasillo.
    Pero que cuenta de su ausencia;
    aunque sólo sea por un tiempo.
    Y sabemos que si podía;
    ella estaría aquí hoy con él.
    Estimado Señor, por favor claro un lugar para ella;
    ella debe tener una vista perfecta.
    Y si ella se ponen tristes hoy;
    Estimado Señor Cuento con ustedes.

    Can you post the poem in English to compare it to your Spanish version you've posted? Just by taking a quick glance I see a few errors, but it would be much easier to translate rather than guess. I'm happy to help.

    Dear Lord please clear a spot for her:
    she should have the perfect view.
    Her little man's a Groom today,
    and I am counting on you.
    Let him feel her presence;
    as he waits at the end of the aisle.
    But let him notice her absence;
    if only for a while.
    And know that if she could;
    she would be here with him today.
    Dear Lord please clear a spot for her;
    she should have the perfect view.
    And if she should get sad today;
    Dear Lord I count on you.

    Thank You so much in advance!

    Dios, por favor reservale* un lugar a ella,

    pues merece tener la vista perfecta.

    Su hijo hoy se convierte en esposo

    y confio** en ti** y en tu poder.

    Deja que el* sienta su presencia

    mientras espera ante el altar.

    Deja que el* reconozca su ausencia,

    si tan solo por un breve momento.

    Permite que el* reconozca que si ella pudiese,

    estaria** presente hoy, aqui, con nosotros.

    Dios, por favor reservale* un lugar a ella,

    pues merece tener la vista perfecta.

    Y si siente tristeza en su corazon,

    Dios, confio** en ti**.

    * the first E should have an accent

    ** the I should have an accent

    *** the E should have an accent

    I took the liberty of changing a few things, but just to make it sound better in Spanish and keep the number of syllables roughly the same between lines, not to change the meaning or sentiment behind the words. Hope this helps!

    Owlet's corrections are perfect! I'd just change one thing:

    Deja que el* reconozca su ausencia,

    - si tan solo por un breve momento.-

    I'd change si tan solo for aunque sea por un.....

    That is a lovely translation! It just needs a few corrections regarding accents:

    Lines 1 and 11: "resérvale" has an accent on the second e, not the first

    Lines 4 and 14: "ti" does not have an accent (adding an accent is a common mistake, since the pronoun "mí" does have one, but it is definitely wrong in the case of "ti")

    Line 10: "aquí" has an accent on the i

    Line 13: "corazón" has an accent on the last o

    @StarryEyedStranger: Yes! I completely agree with every one of the accent corrections. I'm so sorry for those oversights and can't believe I messed up on so many!  My Spanish teachers would hang their heads in shame, but I promise it was mostly due to haste.

    @MrsFernandez :  I agree that 'aunque sea por un' is a good recommendation.
