I dont think thats mean, but you should definitely run it by him gently. Something like "hey you know they have spanx for men, thats kinda cool. Would you ever where them"? and then see what he says and go from there.
My lovie pie weighs 360lbs. I love all his extra meat lol.
He probably would though.
@BoiledPNut: I guess it depends on what you would think if he were to give you Spanx. Do you guys have the type of relationship where that might not be construed as being some kind of commentary on his weight?
@mole: Oh I wouldn't care if he gave me Spanx. He even asked if I was going to wear them under my dress. He knows he has a belly and he's working on losing weight and toning up better, but it's taking him a long time. I told him he should get one so that his mother would stop harassing him about his love handles. lol!
If my FI bought me Spanx without knowing I wanted them, I would not be a happy camper.
Here's the convo I just had:
"Honey would you ever wear spanx?"
"My package is the best thing I got going for me. What idiot is trying to make their jewles look smaller? I remember you staring at it on our first date....."
"No you jackass, it's for the top, like an undershirt."
"Oh to hide my moobs? No I'll let my man titties fly free."

then crawls over to me from the other couch gives a pouting puppy dog face and says:
"Can I Babe?.. Can I have some?!"

@BoiledPNut: to answer your question: how would you feel if your SO got you spanx? I dont think its a good idea. It would probably hurt his feelings. However, you could mention it.
DH has a flat stomach so he does not need this so I would never get him them. For me, there is not enough spanx in the world to make my stomach flat LOL
I would wear the top. The bottoms may cause me to go to the bathroom to much. Which would make them uncomfortable and become something for the goodwill pile.
