I have a pair of the Spanx high waisted briefs and they have never rolled down. I typically pull them up so that the top rests right under my bra.

Try sizing up. I know that when I wear shapewear that is too small, my stomach causes it to roll down.

I used Rago shapewear and it didn’t roll down. It has a bit of built in boning to help it stay up and shape beautifully. Maybe try that and see it it shows through? I’ve worn tight fitting thin dresses with it before and haven’t had any issues.

@misschickpea:  I love the rago, they did not roll and were comfortable but gave great support

I got some shapewear from Additionelle, and it has a loop at the top, that you put your bra through and it literally holds it up- works amazingly well! And I own Spanx I don’t like as much!

I wore Spanx. I also wore a long bustier bra (fits to your waist with boning) so it was able to go over the spanx and keep it in place. 🙂

Go with a corset that has boning. You won’t regret it!

I ditto the recommendations for Rago.  I learned about them here on the Bee!

Size up. My Spanx don’t roll down. Also, buy the Spanx brand if you aren’t already.

@aekc:  Spanx higher power is totally worth the investment. To get the best result you do need to pull them up to your bra line but if they’re the righ size they’ll do their job and stay in place.

@aekc:  Rago doesn’t roll down! It’s got built-in boning and support, and worked wonders on my wedding day. 🙂

Is your dress strapless…? If it has straps or a halter or something, you could try a backless body shaper (like this.. this one has a small spaghetti strap halter, but NO back at all, and support through the stomach/bust!)

I have the Spanx higher power and they do not roll down.

I also have a DKNY high-waisted shaper and it does roll down and can be annoying.

I also have the higher power spanx, I’ve only worn them a few times [they are the kind that go down to almost the knees, and up to the boobs, they’ve yet to roll down at all.
