I didn’t get hot in my Spanx, and it was pretty warm out…in fact, I appreciated them more for keeping my thighs from rubbing together.

(sorry for the TMI)

i get hot really easily, but have been fine with spanx on under summer dresses.

I never get hot in them, once they’re on. I will say, it’s quite a work out for me to get into mine. Haha

I would suggest getting the higher power ones, though. I’ve got the regular ones and they roll down, like pantyhose, when I sit down. Of course, I also have quite a tummy for them to roll over.

They do work well, though.

I second the suggestion to get ones that go up higher; otherwise they just create rib fat rolls. Ugh.

I’ve also never got hot wearing mine, even on a Texas summer afternoon, so I think you’ll be fine (once you get them on!).

i have the spanx that come up to the waist and have worn them with not problems. i just went to norstrom to see if i should get the ones that come higher up and they actually sell different ones in the hosiery and lingerie department. the lingerie department ones have a hook thing that can strap it to your bra to keep it from rolling down. the only thing is, they are thicker – and I think i will be too uncomfortable under my dress. plus, i am having my dress mamker just put a corset inside my dress lining so that is an idea too!
