I am!!! My wedding's on July 3. I'm not doing a 4th of July theme, but they look so cool!!! What I'm doing is just giving the sparklers to my wedding party, thus taking away the fear that the little ones might get ahold of one or my dress might catch on fire! lol :)
Yes, I'm having sparklers also! I love fireworks, and thought this would be a great substitute.
I'm also having sparklers!! I ordered the big 36 inch ones. I can't wait!
i think sparklers are so awesome at weddings!!! i'm so jealous of you ladies! i'd love to, but our reception site doesn't allow them :( boo.
Sparklers are fantastic. Make sure you get the extra long ones so they last long enough for a send off or your walk out!
How are you coordinating the sparklers? I love the look and idea of them, but I can't figure out how to time it! Our reception ends at 11pm - how are you getting everyone outside and lit up without you and the hubby awkwardly waiting around behind everyone? Is it ok to have a send off, if you're not leaving to go anywhere? I mean, we're leaving for the hotel, but people will see us there at the afterparty (we're not heading straight to the airport). I'd love to hear your ideas!
shanbrice: we are allowing all the guests to go out and light up and then we'll come out, give our photog time to snap some photos and go off on a horse drawn carriage ride.
KELLYV I LOVE IT!! I love the thank you idea! So inspiring ladies!
I saw this a while ago from Mrs. Apple Cider and got inspired to DIY so thought I'd share (there's a template enclosed):

these are the ones we bought for ours (i actually still have a bunch left over). i wish our send off had been better but i didn't know the hallway was going to be so lit up and it lessened the sparkler effect. i still loved it though and so did all of the kids who went and played with some before it was time for use to leave.
Any sendoff thoughts for a night reception at a venue which doesn't allow sparklers?
We had sparklers, but not as a send-off. Our reception was on the beach, so we used sparklers for our first dance. Right after dinner, we had guests stand in a circle with lit sparklers and we entered the circle to do our first dance. It was my favorite moment!

All these pics are so cool! Sadly, we won't be leaving our reception early... We plan to party it out with the best of 'em. YES...I will be a tipsy bride :)
But I have been trying to think of a way to incorporate something like this, if for no other reason than the awesome photo ops! But our venue is indoors :(
@NotYourTypicalBride: Again, another thing about your wedding I LOVE. I wish I could have been invited ;)
We will not be leaving early...in fact no one will because the wedding is on a boat, so we have our guests captured until the end :) But we will be the last to walk out and are trying to come up with a great exit / photo op to conclude the night.

I have decided I want sparklers at my wedding.. just cause these photos make it look cool. lol
Mind you I am a little hesitant, because knowing my middle brother he could cause a little chaos if left alone with sparklers :) (he is 28 by the way) other than that.. should be good to go.
so whose with me? :) anyone having them at their wedding?
