I wonder if steam would help like it does with my congestion?
We usually recommend humidified air (cool mist if you have it) and nasal saline/suction. They have the more industrial power suckers now at Target if you can't quite get all the snot. And don't forget that you can use vaseline in her nose if it starts getting raw.
Poor MB :( Feel better sweet peanut!
Thanks for the advice ladies! We do have a humidifier, we'll get that set up for her. I like the warm shower idea! That always make me feel better.
DG: I have to go find a Target. I don't know what you're talking about, but the suction bulb we're using isn't really working. It just makes her cry (you'd think we're pinching her, she HATES getting her nosed suctioned!). And thanks for the Vaseline idea!!
You can order from Target online. Try something like this:

If you are not grossed out by using your mouth to suction (you don't get any snot in it!), there's one that's even better:

Good luck Mighty...I have a cold myself and am just praying I don't pass it on to my little man. Its hard breastfeeding when you are coughing and have a runny nose the whole time.
awww poor MB! :( I hope she feels better soon!
I like the idea of the more powerful ones from Target @MrsDG...I didn't even know those existed!

MB has a cold! Any home remedies for a stuffly nose on a 5 month old?
We've already called the pede, who recommended nasal lavage. Saline spray in the nose and suction it out. No medicines since she's so young, but I'm wondering if anyone has any other tricks to relieving nasal congestion?
