I hope they plan on giving you some drugs to knock you out and then for the pain!! Good luck and remember.. it’s an excuse to eat ice cream and mashed potatoes for a week straight!

I would hope they would put you to sleep for the wisdom teeth.  I was completely out for mine.

Yeah, that will make you out of it for sure, not completely asleep though.  You will be fine!

Oye, I am soooooooo sorry for you.  Last time I went I had to get a filling replaced.  You’d think something so minute wouldn’t be a big deal!  Boy, that was just so painful.  Sorry to say that.  I think what hurt most though was them prying my jaw open that my jaw popped!  My mouth doesn’t open very wide.  Thank goodness I wasn’t born with any wisdom teeth.

Good Luck! I got all 4 of mine out at onces, all were also impacted and right on the nerve (ouchies!) but it really wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought…just make sure NOT to use straws after! and eat lots of soft yummy foods and watch fun dvds 🙂

I agree with Sulli.  Stay far away from straws.

After I was had mine taken out I was feeling pretty good (about day 3) I went to Applebees and accidently took like 2 sips out a straw…and THAT was enough to give me an dry socket…it was super painful!

I just had a filing replaced last night which required my gums to be burned away with a laser.  I full-on sobbed & hyperventilated for the full hour, so I feel your pain.  I don’t know why I assumed I could do it without the sedation I usually use at the dentist.

Deep breaths – good luck!!
