I know it’s not a lifestyle choice but I’m going to do the Special K diet for the next 2 weeks to try to lose a few pounds for my bridal shower/bachelorette party!
I’ve done it in the past for some events and felt it really helped. Has anyone else done it?
Or what else might work for a little jump-start? I’m not looking for a crash diet that’s crazy or anything. I know dieting works and I have been dieting (not strict but just no snacks and eating healthier meals), I just want a quick little ‘boost’ and the special K diet is so easy.

I did the special k diet in college and I hated it. Like two days in I was starving and over eating cereal. I’d rather cut waaaay back on carbs for two weeks (no rice, bread or pasta).

I did it for 5 days and gained 3 lbs- its so unhealthy and made me feel like crap. I’m with LGenz- dump the carbs.

I tried it a few times and I couldn’t stick to it. I got so bored with my food choices, plus I was never really satisfied.

I would recommend cutting carbs instead. I started following the Dukan diet and I’ve lost 8 lbs in a month. I feel so energetic and healthy! Look into it.

I would make your own, much healthier, “jump start” diet. (I HATE that term because it doesnt teach you anything and if it really worked you wouldnt need to keep doing it over and over again, it would just be your life) Anyway, of soap box
Breakfast- 2 eggs, 2 white scramble with 1 med tomato diced, 3 large mushrooms sliced, spinach, 1 slice 2% cheese. 1-2 turkey sausage links
snack- 1 cup 2% greek yogurt mixed with 1/2 cup defrosted berries
Lunch- 2 cups baby spinach topped with 1 grilled/baked seasoned chicken breast, 1 oz goat cheese, finely chopped (cuisinart works well and fast) celery, radish, 1 small carrot, red onion and a sprinkling of fiber one for crunch- 2 Tablespoons light vinaigrette.
Snack- cucumer and red pepper slices with 2 tablespoons hummus
Dinner- sensible dinner of protein and veggies.
