We are having a an “Open Soft Bar” unlimited Juice, Soda, beer, champagne, wine, soda etc for our wedding. Our venue will also prepare a specialty drink to hand out at the beginning of the cocktail hour at no extra charge but it will need to consist of whats included in our bar arrangements.
Please help me think of a specialty drink for our cocktail hour.
Our colors are coral, gold and cream and our theme is southern sparkle (Think hydrangeas, monograms, and of course glitter)
I’d really like the drink to be pink or coral and to be champagne based.
I also need an idea for a name.
I saw that one bride had a blue champagne drink that she called “Something Blue” which I thought was sooooo cute! But I do really want a drink that encorporates our color.
I was thinking about buying cute straws or swizle sticks to add to the drinks….
Any ideas ladies? What specialty drinks did you serve, how did you encorporate your theme, and what did you name them? Pictures welcome! 🙂

Maybe some of those will be helpful. I think I’m doing a light sangria for my wedding. It’ll be orange in color, somehow 🙂

Chambord is a good way to make things pink (kind of coral-y) and it’s super yummy! A really good drink is champagne with a splash of chambord and maybe a rasberry in the glass. Or something with maraschino cherry juice or strawberries?

The Blushing Bride is a champagne cocktail but requires peach schnapps. If your only options for alcohol are champagne and wine, maybe you could do a peach belinni with a splash of grenedine, which would end up coral in color I think.

I like the idea for the name blushing bride! Thats really cute! I’m still trying to think of a name that includes my FI too.
I’m going to get some coral striped paper straws and also make some cute diy drink stirrers (Ideas welcome) and see if the bartender will put a cherry or something on them.. I’m not sure if thats included.
I’m thinking we will do champagne, with some kind of pink juice and maybe splash of orange juice or lemonade.
I’m getting really excited about this! 🙂

I just bought these cute straws 🙂
Best price I found $21 for 150 straws
Now i just need to go to the craft store and see what fun stiff they have to make stirrers…i was kind of inspired by these but I’m not huge on the star and id be afraid the glitter would get in the drink…. they have some with tinsel or poms on them so I’ll see what I can find…

We’re having a Georgia Peach themed wedding and our colors include coral.
One of our signature cocktails is going to be called a Blushing Bride. It’s lemonade, vanilla vodka, peach schnapps and a splash of grenadine. It’s a lovely coral shade.
Our other cocktail we’re calling a Gallant Groom. It’s cherry infused Southern Comfort mixed with gingerale. It’s a dark, bourbon color… naturally… but the cherries give it a reddish tint which looks like a darker coral or terracotta shade in the glass.

Hey Bees! I bought these swirly, glitter, foam stickers at Michael’s and stuck them on bamboo skewers from the grocery store. I think they wll look cute as fruit skewers in our drink..They were on clearance so I paid about $15 for 150….best part is they dont shed glitter 🙂
I still need to pick a drink recipe and a name…
Here are the drinks I’m thinking of:
Champagne or Moscato
Splash of pinapple juice
Splash of OJ
Spalsh of genadine or something to pake it pinkish
Pineapple/strawberry or cherry (on skewer)
Lemon and Mint Sprig (on skewer)
Would that be good? It sounds really good to me- Kind of like a sparkling arnold palmer?? I’m not completely sold on the names but I want to go with something to that effect…
I still need help with this … I’m tempted to go get a bottle of champagne, some tea, and some lemonade…and try this thing out
