I would honestly speak from the heart, as cliched as that sounds. My sister gave a short, simple speech at my wedding as the MOH and it moved me. Basically it explained that when I first started dating my husband, she didn't want to share me and she decided that she wasn't going to like this guy. But after she met him and hung out with him and saw how happy we were she decided that there was no way she could not like this guy and instead of fighting it she was happy to embrace it.
It was a nice speech because it touched on our very close relationship and was also a very nice way of telling my husband that he was part of the family.

I need to give two speeches, one at my sister's bridal shower, which I am hosting, and one during the reception, because I am the maid of honor. I have some ideas, but I would like to hear from all of you. What are some of the most memorable speeches you have ever heard? I don't want to do something boring. Please help!
