BeckyS0:  eww. I am terrified of spiders. It sounds like you have an infestation. Honestly, I would call a professional.

Call a pest control company but I would also talk to your neighbors as chasing them out of your yard will chase them into theirs so bundling many houses together will help you all get rid of them and may make it slightly cheaper. We had this a few years ago and had our yard sprayed. They were gone the next day and we didn’t see a bug around all year. It also kept the flees out of the yard which was great for our pups l.

BeckyS0:  been there. You can buy a gallon jug with a pump sprayer on it at Ace hardware or some place similar that will work too. Read the instructions but usually you have to keep pets off for a certain amount of time and sometimes you have to repeat the process of the edges of the yard a few times.

BeckyS0:  talk to the guy at the hardware store and he will tell which product to buy, the jug comes full and already mixed.

I would suggest looking for a poison-free alternative (a pest company might be able to give you ideas). if you poison the spiders, you can inadvertanly poison the birds that eat them. not to mention neighborhood cats coming into the yard, and any other animals and “good” bugs (like bees and ladybugs) that come into your yard.

BeckyS0:   GIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRRRLLLLLL, i hear that sh*t!!!! gah! if i have to hear one more time: Oh spiders are good! They kill other insects– I’ll die!

Funny story for you: years ago, my friend and i had just moved in together. One night, i was washing up to go to bed and she had went into her bedroom a few minutes before me. I was in the bathroom brushing my teeth when i dropped something on the floor. i kneeled down to pick it up and as i was getting back up i saw a glimmer of light reflecting somewhere between the sink and the ceiling. I had just taken my contacts out, so i grabbed my glasses. I put my glasses on….look up…..and holy F-IN SH*T an army of BABY SPIDERSSSSSSSSS!! AHHHHHHH!!!!!! okay Sweetbeets, stay calm, it’s you or the spiders. I run into my friends room and say “don’t panic, but i think there was a nest of spiders in the bathroom and they just hatched. but we have to be smart, we have to do this the right way, it we swat around (they were crawling all over the ceiling) they will fall onto the floor and scatter everywhere and we will never know if we got them all.” ——SO, we decided to put bandana masks on and get the vaccuum out 🙂 god i love vaccuums :-). We went in there like a pair of Ghostbusters and wrecked house. WE looked at it like this: THere is NO way in hell we can loose this battle. It’s us or the spiders. and god damnit, WE WON THE BATTLE!

i will never in my life forget this night. terrifying as all hell. *gets chills*
