Hi Bees! So the other day I posted a poll/post to help me with my dress decision since I have been torn between two beautiful gowns.. Vera Wang and Judd Waddell. Here’s the link to my previous post to see me with the gowns on:
I wanted to make another post and put pics on here of previous brides with the gowns on so it gives a better idea of how it looks at a wedding.. soo here they are:
After seeing pics at a real wedding, which now looks better?
Thank you bees!!! You are so all wonderful!!!

I much prefer the Vera Wang dress, it is really special, whereas the Judd Waddell dress seems somewhat ordinary. They are both beautiful though, I am sure you will look gorgeous no matter which one you pick!

I’m obviously biased (since it’s my dress), but my vote is for the the VW! I am also further biased by the fact that I am not generally a fan of satin dresses though, so take my opinion with a grain of salt! Whatever you choose, both dresses will look beautiful on you on your wedding day!

After seeing them in real weddings, the VW has more of a softer, sweet, fun look to it, and the Judd looks nice, but a little more plain and safe or uptight looking. LOL! Maybe that’s not the best way to describe it. I mean they both look great, but I love the VW in the pick where they are outside holding hands. Defin with a belt though and then I like the VW better.

How do I say this without offending anyone? With the second dress, because of the wrap of the dress, it’s very easy to look like you have no butt.
If you have an amazing butt, you’ll look fantastic in it. Otherwise, I don’t think it’d do much for your figure behind.
From the other thread, it looks like you have an amazing figure, so don’t get something that makes you look like you don’t!

@ValerieC: I definately think so too! I’m starting to think the Judd Waddell is more conservative and not sure if it would fit well with my personality
@zagora: Lol the more I look at it, the more I see it doesn’t flatter the bum very well either! I already don’t have a nice bum, sooo I don’t want something that makes it look more non existant lol

The Vera, I am in love with this dress and am very envious of you that you have the possibility to purchase it. I say the Vera over the Judd Waddel because the Vera is more fun and flirty and I am in LOVE with the bottom of the dress. Plus I love tulle. But really, it comes down to which one you feel the most comfortable in.

They are both very pretty, I think it comes down to the look you’re wanting to acheive.
The JW is more traditional and classic. It’s special points are more understated.
The VW has more wow factor and is more trendy. It’s more romantic/passionate.

I don’t care for the bustle that the previous bride had on the Judd Waddell, but you could have it done differently.
As for which dress, perhaps if you describe your event or what you are looking for it would make it easier to give advice.

I came into this post thinking I’d clearly favor the Judd Waddell, because of my own bias–I wore a Judd Waddell that I LOVED, and I chose it over a Vera Wang 😉 but… I actually like the Vera better! I just personally prefer softer fabrics (ie, organza, chiffon, tulle) over stiffer ones (satin), I just think the movement is so much prettier and flowier. The also seemed more comfortable to me.

I am wearing a Judd Waddell and so thought I would be partial to #2, but since I’ve seen the dress in real weddings, I vote for Vera–the bottom is stunning in pictures, and the JW doesn’t look nearly as nice, esp. in non-natural lighting!

iv seen vera hundreds of times kinda like seeing something different and the second dress is , its much more elegant and classic yet sexy , thats my pick

vera wang, of course! it is a beauuutiful gown.
i do not think the judd waddell photographs well AT ALL. I do not like it at all in the photographs.

Neither are my style, but I appreciate the VW much much more. The skirt photographs quite nicely.
I don’t like the cut on the Judd Waddell. I know the back is what makes it unique, but to me it looks wrong. The movement on it just doesn’t really make sense to me. It just seems kind of random.

I like the fabric of the Vera Wang and also the bottom of the skirt. I don’t like the “pillow” at the back of the Judd Waddell.
