…besides my husband 🙂
So there is a thread going around that a bee stepped on a frog (by accident!) , and I was thinking the last time I saw a frog was at my wedding! I was cooped up inside all morning getting ready, and it was a beautiful day outside. Once I was was all dolled up all I wanted to do was get outside! I went out to the garden in the backyard with my bridesmaids to take some pictures before my husband showed up. Did I mention I’m just awkward in front of a camera? I felt totally self conscious until I saw this guy:
And yes, I did ask the photographer to take a professional picture of the frog. Here is my excitement over said frog:
…And that’s how I got rid of any prewedding nerves.

We had 2 snakes! They were hanging out by the pool below the bridal suite. The other girls were grossed out, but I thought it was awesome. I wanted to get a pic with one, but the pool was off-limits. I asked the photographers to get a pic from the window, but I never got a copy… Thank you for the reminder!

@metalbride: Lol, I’m glad I’m not the only one who asked for a professional photo of a reptile at my wedding! 🙂

We had geese, ducks and muskrat. The geese came on the deck right after the ceremony and took a nice big crap….the photographer had to kick it was with her shoe to finish pictures lol and we were worried my step son would yell “muskrat” during the ceremony, because he did during the rehearsal. He was good tho 🙂

@Kjeff760: I just went over to your recaps to see where all these ducks were – the location was beautiful!!! Looks like you got married recently too, congrats!
There were also rabbits and chickens which were nearby in a cage, which are not pictured. Didn’t really want to go over there in my wedding dress….

I’d love to have an animal in my wedding like this. Not stages, just like “omg there’s a….!” My partner and I, one of our favourite things to do is feed squirrels at the local park. Probably sounds really weird, but we love it. We just get a bag of nuts and sit on. Bench and feed them. I’d love it be part of our wedding 🙂

we had froggies hanging around at my wedding reception too (it was in my parents’ front yard). i know some people were concerned about them bothering/scaring people, but i wasn’t worried. i figure they had as much a right to be there as we did, lol.

That is too fun! It was winter and we were inside so no friends for us but at BILs wedding there was a toad chilling by the “altar” which was a giant tree because they were outside and it was apparently super loud and SIL almost stepped on it, barefoot!

Haha! this was funny! I was hoping to see a bear at mine… but I didn’t 🙁

@nutMeg13: I think a bear would have been much scarier than a frog, I would have freaked out! Although I was accused of having a bear at my wedding because this guy was roaming around during the reception:
I guess all the extra guests is what I get for having a wedding out in the countryside!
