@Ms_Purple:  Yikes, I would definitely take him for a sleep study! Does he feel like he gets enough rest? Is he constantly tired even if he gets like 8 hours of sleep? I’d be surprised if he did.

As for me, on the nights that BF is over, I definitely don’t sleep as well. It’s sad but I sleep much better when I’m alone 🙁

But I think that has to do with the size of the bed than anything else. We sleep on a full size. And I’m a big girl. And BF is a big guy. He’s 6’7 and brawny. So there is very little room for both of us.

And BF tosses and turns in his sleep and when he does that, it shakes the whole bed and wakes me up. Sometimes I think “Will you just stay still?!”

Ah well. I know our problems will be solved though once we get a bigger bed. We went to North Carolina in June and stayed on a queen bed for one night then a king bed for two nights. AND IT WAS SO GLORIOUS!

My bedroom won’t fit a king bed so we will have to settle for a queen. But it will be still be a lot better than what we currently have! 🙂

DH often gets work calls in the night… I just want to throw his phone out the window

We don’t even touch now that we have a king bed – it’s glorious!

I do talk in my sleep though which sometimes wakes DH up/keeps him up. Whoops!

SO snores like a freight train and moves around all night long. I have been hit in the face, pushed off the bed and kicked more times than I can count. Also, he gets up 3 or 4 times a night to pee.  Needless to say, I do not get much sleep when he stays with me.

Our dogs moving around at night wake me up. We used to wake each other up. He likes to sleep at an angle with his feet in ‘my space.’ I like to use a lot of pillows and used to smother him. But we’ve had a king bed since May and we’ve been sleeping peacefully since.

@Ms_Purple:  we sleep in separate rooms because of it. He snores and I kick.

@remijp:  He and I need a king bed… mine does this too!!! By the end of the night he is completely diagonal on the bed and I have this tiny little area to curl up in. At least he doesn’t ALSO steal the blankets haha.

But, there’s no way we can get a king bed for the next few years 🙁

For the most part we are ok, but winter is always difficult becuase we typically sleep with two blankets (well, he sleeps with it on his side). Even though he goes to bed super cold, he gets overheated in the middle of the night and balls the blanket up in my back, and then my back starts hurting really, really bad, so I wake up, cuss him out under my breath while chucking the covers off the bed, and then angrily go back to sleep, lol.

    Sleep study

    Now

REM behavior disorder is treatable with medication. Before he seriously hurts you or himself. Seriously.

Hubby never disturbs my sleep… but I todd and turn some nights because I can’t sleep. I work in a sleep lab so of course I’m up overnight and my sleep shedule is whacked because of it. So sadly I probably interfere with his sleep a bit. Luckily he’s a “heavy sleeper”.

It’s usually my cat that distrubs us haha. Sometimes my SO snores, though, which then keeps me awake longer. This isn’t a nightly thing, though. I am pretty sure I disturb my SO’s sleep as well.

He wakes me up sometimes because he snores. The worst is when he is really tired because he snores SO loud and it wakes me up and I have trouble going back to sleep. 🙁

Usually no problems. The biggest problems are when I try to wake him up. He can react quite… angrily when I do that. Worst was when I got elbowed in the boob for trying to wake him up. He’s totally asleep when it does it, but ooh boy. He likes his sleep.
