    I would just make sure that the band can safely support the stone.  I don’t know much about ring stability but I would just worry that a small band wouldn’t be able support such a large stone. I dunno though!

    If the ring is secure and the setting can support a 2.5 then I think it’s lovely and elegant and feminine and dainty and a whole other host of positive adjectives.

    I’m sorry if I made you doubt it! It’s just my personal taste for my own finger (delicate stone with delicate band, blingy stone with blingy band). It all comes down to 100% what YOU like! 🙂

    I’m sure it would be able to physically support it (although I’d make sure they have a warranty/good customer service) but personally I think it would look a bit disproportionate and I think a slightly thicker band would be better, but thats JMO.

    ETA: everything is relative… do you know what size the stone is in the example pic?
