I noticed on another ring thread today that some of the bees are feeling that there has been a lack of ring-picture threads lately. I commented that, since my e-ring has baguette side stones, and I haven't encountered many other bees whose e-rings have them, that I've been hoping someone would start a new thread featuring e-rings with baguette side stones. One of the other bees encouraged me to start a thread about this, and, so, here it is.
(I discovered that someone had started a similar thread about a year ago, and I found it and posted on it a couple of months ago, but I thought maybe new bees and other bees with baguettes had not seen it.)
So, bees with baguettes, please post pics of your lovely rings here -- even if you have posted them elsewhere before! :)
Note: Pics of wedding bands, anniversary bands, and RHRs featuring baguettes are also welcome!
no no no you never have to wait girl we all drool for ring porn you know that lolol go for it
My ring has baguette side stones. They may be kind of hard to see but they're in that section in the middle...

@GelaMac: Haha! OK. I was going to wait for a few more people to post theirs, but since you asked, I will post my pics now:

@ Brielle I like your ring and love your mix match wedding bands. You got a lot of bling going on there.
@NovaRising: Thanks! The thin band is actually an anniversary ring from my second anniversary. I wanted to add just a hint of sparkle on the other side of my e-ring, and I wanted whatever I chose to not compete with either my e-ring or my wedding band. It's nice to know one of the other bees likes it! :)
I am really hoping some other "baguette" bees will post their rings on this thread!
Here is my e-ring ( I have posted it every chance i get!) 8 carat Emerald cut Brazilian Tourmaline with Baguette Diamonds in platinum!

@Shelby81: I love your set! Your rings are gorgeous -- your baguettes are amazing, and your sapphire is such a beautiful color!
@Miss TNK: Wow! Your ring is stunning and so unique! I have never seen anything like it! Your tourmaline is such a rich-colored stone, too!
Thanks so much for posting these, ladies!!
What a great thread! I love seeing other beautiful rings with baguettes. I only have a pic taken with my iPhone (sorry for the huge size!). I need to get some good ones taken!

@Paleored: I do remember seeing yours on one other thread and absolutely LOVING it!!!! That is just GOR-GE-OUS!!! I've often wondered what my setting would look like with an emerald cut center stone. That is STUNNING!!!
@em_panda214: Beautiful ring!! VERY sparkly!!
@SpecialSundae: Wow! That is a beautiful ring!
@lily69: Thank you!! Please post yours, too! I'm hoping all of the baguette bees will see this thread and post so that we'll all be able to see each other's lovely rings here! :)
Beauftiful rings ladies !!
We picked out mine finally this weekend (sorry no pics yet)... it'll be ready in about 2 weeks after it is sized etc.
In meantime, perhaps a description...
A very wide band, with aprox 1.80 Carat TW, made up of a Princess Cut 0.80 centre diamond, surrounded by baguettes that cascade down the centre of the band and onto the shank, these are framed on each side of the band by smaller rounds that also cascade down both sides
Promise to post pics when ring is in hand !!

@This Time Round: I enjoyed reading your story in the link to the post you provided. Yes, absolutely! Please come back and post your ring once you have it in your possession! It sounds beautiful! :)
I have a baguette/round diamond half eternity band. After 2 mos. of hassle from the jeweler, I finally got it today!

@mnp: Ooh! That is gorgeous! Is your e-ring princess cut? Whatever it is, your set is stunning!
here's mine!

I dont have it yet so this is the only picture I have :)
@nushka: Wow, that is gorgeous!! I love the double prongs in each corner! They're not only providing additional structural safety for your diamond, but they really add to the beauty of the ring!
If you don't mind my asking, what are the size specs of your ring? I love the proportion of center stone to baguettes. (When I first saw my setting in the case at the jewelers, it had a 2K CZ place-holder in the center. However, the loose diamond we selected is much smaller -- 1.21c. My baguettes are a total of .75c, so, clearly there is not nearly as much dramatic contrast between my center stone and baguettes as there is in your lovely ring.
@Brielle: Thanks so much! I have only that one picture to stare at because I customed designed the ring (not very original, I know) so I'm both excited and nervous to see it! No one to blame but myself :)
The center stone is 1.82ct but unfortunately I dont know the specs of the baguettes. The jeweler kept bringing out pairs to show me and I choose especially thin and dainty ones so it's likely they are quite a bit smaller than yours. I love your set though! I will also likely stack a couple of rings if my short fingers allow for it
@SpecialSundae: Beautiful! Thanks for posting this. Your ring is gorgeous -- and so is your gown! (I saw your recap pics -- they're beautiful!) I actually do not really have any good pro-pics of my e-ring. :(
@LazyDaisy: Beautiful!! I think your ring is the closest to mine that I've ever seen in the Hive! Thanks for posting! By the way, I just went back and found you on the "Are You My Ring Twin" thread. :)
As for your wedding band, you have a lot of choices. You could do something like I did, with a half eternity band of all round diamonds, or you could choose a band featuring baguettes and rounds, like @mnp:'s and @Shelby81:'s gorgeous wedding bands. Or you could select something entirely different to contrast! :) I can't wait to see what you choose! You'll have to come back and post pics when you have it!
@Brielle: Girl, you have good taste! ;) I specifically picked out a round brilliant with tapered baguettes setting for my FI to get me. I love how timeless and classic it looks. I love your ring! Beautiful..
@LazyDaisy: I'm also having trouble finding a band to go with mine as it's also not blanched..! Maybe we could convince our men that we need 2 bands.. one to balance out the unevenness, and the other to stack on top!
I'm not sure if you can see it in the pic, but the sides of my ring and my bands have baguettes. I never knew what the cut was until recently:

There are 4 little baguette diamonds around the center stone.
I love how unique the baguette stones make our rings look! I love everything I've seen in this thread!

@Keisha In Love: Hey! You and I are e-ring twins!! At least the the style is the same, yours looks bigger than mine. Mine has the baguettes going up the sides of the ring in a channel set too. DH and I went to four stores looking for this exact style!
@romantical: Thanks!! I'm glad you found this thread. I LOVE your ring!! It's gorgeous!!
@shychigirl: Your ring is so beautiful!! That setting is gorgeous!!
@doobie: Wow! I've never seen a baguette halo before. That's so unique! Stunning ring!
@Keisha In Love: That's a lot of beautiful bling you have there! I love the step cuts in your stones!
@Loribeth: Lots of lovely baguettes!
Here's my precious. The baguettes are in the split shank.

There are so many gorgeous rings in this thread! Love seeing all the step cuts!
When DH and I were looking for my e-ring, I knew I wanted baguettes going down the sides, and when the jewelers didn't have what I wanted, they pulled out three stone emerald cut rings with princess cut diamonds going down the sides. They always tried to sell me on they idea that they were all "square" cut diamonds. I was surprised by how many salespeople did not understand that I didn't want "square" cuts, I wanted all STEP cuts--not the same thing.
When we were looking for my wedding band, the same thing... They didn't have what I wanted, so of course they tried to switch me to princess cuts... It took some time to get what I really, really wanted, and it was totally worth the effort, because I LOVE my rings!!
I see a lot of beautiful rings with a mix of facetted stones and step cut stones, and they are unique and of course gorgeous. I love looking at them! And they all look perfect on all of you! I think it's wonderful that there are so many different designs--so many unique and beautiful designs that incorporate the lovely baguette cuts!
I think baguettes are very under-rated--and I'm thrilled we have a thread going devoted to them! Keep them coming ladies!!!!
Hello,
Love your ring! Its very close to what mine looks like. I'm having a hard time finding a wedding band for mine. Have you gotten yours? Please post picture if you have.
Crystal
