spinoff from the other thread, any horror stories about meeting guys on the internet?
my first boyfriend, i met on myspace, dated for five and a half months, he was a pothead but said he stopped for me, which may or may not be true. he also dumped me via a comment on my public myspace profile, not through a private message, but a comment. so not only could all my friends see it, but everybody on myspace could too. let’s just say i learnt my lesson about public profiles that day!

OH MAN I got this.
The guy that proposed on date 1? That guy was special.
One guy sent me message that simply said “I want to brush your hair.”
I went out with a guy once and a few days later we were texting a bit. I left work and went to the gym. When I got back to my car after an hour or so, I had like 15 texts ranging from “Where are you??” “Why aren’t you answering??” to “I’m going to call the cops if you don’t respond soon!!!!”
Also, WHY do so many men feel the need to lie about their height? I listed mine (5’10) on my profile, so when you claim to be 6 feet and I show up being taller than you…do you think I just won’t notice? Dumbasses, all of you.
My ex before my husband, I met online. When I broke up with him, he apparently (totally unknown to me) had my email password. I started dating again via match.com and he managed to SHOW UP at a few of my dates around town. I chalked it up to coincidence until I realized the fucker had been reading my emails and stalking me.

I had met someone right before FH. We met on Craigslist of course since that’s what I was using for dating at the time. He seemed like a nice guy, but had gotten into a tiny bit of trouble before meeting me (drug possession). We dated for maybe 2 months. Turns out him and his dad would steal metal and go scrap it for money, that’s what he did for “work”.
Yea, I got out of that realllllll quick.
