    H. No. Usually I’m in sweats when I get home. Maybe more importantly, mentally I need time to prepare for guests. As an introvert, it’s not that I hate having people over (sometimes I even love it), but having it sprung on me with no preparation sounds awful.

House usually falls into the 15 minute rule- as in: in 15 minutes I could be ready for just about any level of company.  That’s where I like to keep it.  It just needs a quick vacumn and vanity’s wiped down, and some clutter removed.  Other than that, it’s pretty clean.  If it starts to get where it might take me more like 20-30 minutes to feel like people could see it- it’s time to clean.

As for myself- I change into pjs most nights by 7:30-8 so it just depends on timing!  I’m typically dressed until dinner time as a normal outfit.

@gingerkitten:  As I said in the other thread… you best at least call when you’re pulling up because there is a 100% chance I am braless if it’s just me and FI. And it’s like a 90% chance he’s in his boxers. We’re klassy.

Oh definitely rarely dress ready for guests. I’m in my sweats most of the time.

@Barbiestylez:  SERIOUSLY! Some bee posted about how her four friends were surprizing her by showing up on NYE. She only knew because they were in town and realized they didn’t know her new address. She was asking about quick party food she could throw together and I was like “Um… if those bitches are showing up unannouced they better be bringing their own damn food.. and a vacuum!” My FI didn’t get why I was so upset on her behalf until I looked around our disorganized apartment, looked him up and down in his undies and said “If Steven, Sherie, Carl and Monica knocked on the door right now, how would you feel?” He immediately said “Ooooooh… yeah. I’d flip out.”

@MexiPino:  Thats like my worst nightmare. Im in my sweats, no bra, theres dog toys all over the floor & the counter is cluttered. No nononoooooonononono. Plus, I have to mentally prepare myself for guests. No one is allowed to show up unannounced at my house except my mom & sister. LOL they get a pass:)

@gingerkitten:  Hell to the no. I can get “dressed” in a few minutes but no I don’t go around my home decked out to the nines, I like to be comfortable.

@gingerkitten:  Nope. The first thing I do when I get home from work is change into lulus and a hoodie.  My FI stays in his suit (jacket slung over our coat rack) until we go to bed.  I think its so weird.

@Barbiestylez:  Yeah. I was seriously ANGRY after reading that thread. I mean, I don’t care if my BFF sees my house and me looking crazy but even she will call and say “I’m leaving work. Mind if I’m there in 15?” At least that gives me a chance to put on a bra and maybe throw any dirty dishes in the sink. I don’t know who would think “Oh yay! People I wasn’t expecting have invaded my home unannounced! AWESOME!!” If you’re visiting me I want to, you know, have something to offer you besides water and not scare you with my crazy hair and wild unrestrained boobies.

@MexiPino:  Haha totally agree!! I hate having to entertain people too. Its hard enough at a planned party, but when Im sitting on the couch in my sweats watching real housewives, I dont wanna get up & entertain people! LOL. I want to sit my ass on this couch with no bra looking like a mess & relax!!!

I’m in pajama pants, a tank top with no bra, and a messy ponytail/bun thing on my head sooooo…… He’ll.no.  My house is always guest ready but obviously not because I like unexpected guests. It’s only because I’m OCD and it has to be spotless for me to live in it.

If I’m at home alone or just me and DH, it’s like 98% I’m not wearing a bra.  And I’m not one of those girls who can just throw on a sweatshirt and be cool. No.

So yeah, DH knows that if he’s bringing someone home, I need at least enough time to put on a bra.
