Yes, I can honestly say I have one spot that my Doc said is a Yeast skin infection.. I’ve tried everything but its relentless, goes away and comes right back.

I had a yeast infection in my armpits once.  It was miserable.  I was in a show at the community theater and dancing for 6 hours a day in the middle of summer in a non-air conditioned building.  Luckily it wasn’t chronic, but I can understand your pain.

@AB Bride:  My best friend had candida overgrowth. she did the candida diet and it helped a ton! now she shies away from carbs and sugars as much as reasonably possible

@AB Bride:  I had no idea that yeast infections could occur in other places. Eep, I hope my trend doesn’t expand on my body!

Plain yogurt!! Never have had a problem personally, but keeping places dry, avoiding sugar (for the traditional area, anyway) and maybe take some AZO cranberry pills…. Sounds like a sucky problem to have.

Yeast Infections suck

(I haven’t had one in years… *knock on wood*)

And yes they can happen in other places of the body…

Thrush is particularly common in Babies.  And not fun !!

Okay, this is gross but it actually works! I have a similar problem, usually in the summer as I can sometimes get a YI under my boobs (ew) from sweat buildup or whatever. What I’ve found that works after lots of googling and trying everything is using plain yogurt TOPICALLY. It’s weird, but literally applying plain yogurt – the kind with live cultures in it – actually makes it go away rather quickly and costs like, what, $1?

I also take the AZO Yeast pills daily to keep it under control, but when I *do* have an outbreak I go buy a thing of plain yogurt.

I’ve got a reoccuring fungal infection of my skin. I don’t think it’s a yeast though, I’m pretty sure I caught it at my last job (worked in a fungal lab). It doesn’t really bother me, it just gives me spots on my back, shoulders, chest, and sometimes legs. It mostly hangs out where my bra goes. Whenever it comes back I get FI to slap some anti-fungal ointment on it (I usually can’t reach it) and it goes away in a day or two.
