This thread is obviously for bees who live with their partners…Do you and your partner sleep at home together every night? Reading the other thread about “drunken sleepovers” made me wonder if this is a common thing (not the drunk part, but the sleeping away from home part). My husband is home every night and so am I (obviously work travel is an exception).
What about you? Do you guys do separate weekends away or have sleepovers with friends and family?

There have only been a handfull of times we haven’t slept together in the same bed or room (even in the hospital he had a cot to stay with me <3 ) I feel lost and don’t sleep well without him there.. lol

We spend every night together. I just…. it would be…. I don’t even know how to explain how odd it would be if my husband willingly stayed at someone else’s house when he could have chosen to be home where he belongs… with his family.

both options #2 and #4 apply to me, I just went with #2. we USUALLY spend every night (and day! we work together, hehehe. he’s just a meter away) together, but sometimes I go out for girly sleepovers or fly away to spend time with family. he doesn’t, though, I guess he’s not as much into sleepovers as me (but he’ll go out on business trips).
he’s completely fine with me sleeping over with friends and drinking though. ;P he trusts me and the friends I make.

Sometimes Mr. 99 gets so knee-walking drunk that he’s gotta stay put somewhere unless I want to come get him…other than that..yeah, of course he sleeps at our house…his underwear is there.

@MrsPanda99: No way, other than if we are traveling for work etc.

Sure, there have been times one of us has slept away for various reasons. Personally, I love having the bed to myself!

We sleep together most of the time, unless I travel to go see family and he can’t come, then I sleep alone in my old bed and he stays at home. That usually never longer than a weekend though. Or one of us has to travel for work.

@MrsWBS: this! More room for my dog too.

Not very often, but once and awhile we spend the night apart.
My parents and a lot of my friends like about an hour away from us. So sometimes I will go by myself and spend the night at my parents. Usually I always try to drag Fiance with me and he does come but sometimes he either has work to do that day or really doesn’t want to come. So I will go and stay overnight (because I want to drink). I don’t really plan to get wasted but I know I’m not going to be able to drive an hour home at 1 am. So I stay at my parents. I dont’ really have any desire to sleep over at a friends unless they have a bed!
Also…if Fiance has to go out of town for work or sometimes he will go to his families house (4 hours away) to do some work with his brother (I don’t want to spend my weekend watching them work on a car through the night) and I will take advantage of the fact that he’s gone to go to my parents house to see my friends that weekend. And I would stay at my parents. I get to go out with my friends and hang out with my parents.
So it happens, but not that often. Maybe once every 2-3 months or so.
He’s gone on a few trips with friends without me and I went with my friends to Vegas for my bachelorette without him. Those aren’t a big deal either.
If we’re in the same city though…no we don’t spend the night apart.

My husband works 6 nights so we only sleep together one night a week. The one night we are together he has toruble sleeping and spends most of the night away from me (on the computer or watching tv).
I can’t wait until he goes back to his day schedule. Should happen in the next month or two.

Darling Husband sleeps somewhere else with fair frequency, at least in the summer. He and his buddy prefer to, say, get a hotel downtown and sleep there after a night of drinking rather than try to get a taxi all the way back home (and then how would they get downtown in the first place!??). Or we will go on little trips without each other. He has gone camping and on a brewery tour in Portland; I’ve gone on a girls weekend with my mom and sister. I don’t mind at all — it’s way less hassle for me if he just sleeps where he is when drinking is involved, rather than me having to go pick him up!

@lovekiss: You summed up exactly how I feel about it. If there is a choice, the choice should be me!! Lol.

Yes and no. Darling Husband works on a drilling platform offshore in the Gulf of Mexico, so he’s away two weeks at a time. When he’s here we spent every night together… Best part of the day 🙂

Fiance work straight days Mon-Fri. I work straight nights 6 nights a week so we get ONE night together out of 7.
We sleep in the same bed…just not at the same time! 🙁
