    A personal alarm? Like, life-alert?

Never even heard of such a thing. So for me, no.

I’ve never heard of this. I can’t even imagine living somewhere that I would need to contemplate having one.

Never heard of it. It doesn’t sound very feasible. What’s stopping your attacker from taking it and throwing it into a river, or the bushes, or just hucking it far, far, far away from you?

I imagine it would kind of be like a car alarm – lots of people have them, no people pay attention to them.

I do not carry anything like that (even though we live in a notsogreat area). I’ve never felt scared enough anywhere I’ve lived, even when I lived alone, to carry anything.

One of my BFF’s always carries pepper spray, (she had an ex that stalked her), I was always glad that she does since I know that whole situation.

My SO’s mom carries a personal taser for when she walks home from work at night. She lives alone, she usually gets out of work around midnight, and she has a 10-15 minute walk home.

SO & I were actually very glad when she told us about it as she lives in a different state and her home has been broken into before.

No.  No one even blinks an eye at car alarms anymore.  I wouldn’t depend on it saving me from an attacker.

Ha, I thought you meant a personal alarm clock. Sure, I have my cell phone!

Haha so no, I don’t have a personal alarm. Other than the alarm on my car which I can turn on from my keys.

Nope, never heard of one until now.  Never had or was offered a rape whistle when I went to college (graduated almost 10 years ago).  I have a home security system and a car alarm, that’s it.

I don’t. I think it would be good in a crowded area. Attract attention and scare the attacker off.
