Hell yes.  It shouldn’t be up to me or anyone else to dictate who you can or can’t spend your life with.  Love is love.  I firmly believe that anyone who wants to get married should be able to get married, and have heard no logical reasons as to why it shouldn’t be allowed.  It just boggles my mind that it still isn’t in most of the country.

You bet!  There is not one rationale argument to *not* support it.

There is absolutely no logical reason to not support gay marriage.

YES and it’s one of the few things I will get totally pissed off about.

I absolutely do. It should be legal for everyone and there are no good reasons why it shouldn’t be.

Does anyone know what thread this is a spinoff from?

Yes, 100%.  My marriage is not more special or privileged than anyone else’s just because I’m female and my partner is male.  Love is love, and that’s what matters.

I will be honest – I didn’t support it at all until I had children.  And then I thought to myself – what if my daughter falls in love with a wwoman?  What if my son falls in love with a man?  Why shouldn’t they be allowed to marry the same way I did?  At the end of the day love is love.

I believe in marriage equality.  It does sound funny to me to say “gay marriage”… you know that meme that says something about it just being “marriage” because they didn’t have a “gay lunch” or “gay park their car” or whatever?  That made so much sense to me.

I can see both sides of the issue. If one of my gay friends or family members wanted to get married I’d be there in a heartbeat to celebrate with them. On the other hand, many religions forbid it and some people adhere very strictly to their religious teachings. You can’t force either side to believe what is right and what is wrong.
