This one is listed at just under $2.3 million. 6 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, a pool, 13,280 sq ft.  It also has a guest house and it sits on about 4 acres. Apparently the price has decreased because of how long it’s been on the market for so long. I’m not sure what the original listing was for.

The real estate market is dead out here, and we’re not really in luxury home country anyway.  The most expensive listing in our zip code is this one, at $475,000, but that’s only because it’s on 72 acres.

@peachacid:  This is actually one of my guilty pleasures….I love going on the real estate websites and looking at the really expensive houses in this area.

There are some hoity toity neighborhoods on the west side of Minneapolis that have homes between $10m-$24m.  OMG.  What do these people do for a living?

I think I’m just too middle class.  The hubbs and I just moved into our forever home last year– and I think this house is even “too much” at times for the two of us!!  (Hopefully, someday, kids…but there are no guarantees in life…)

This is the most expensive listing I could find right now in my town.  The actual unit its a 3 bedroom/4 bath apt for $2,450,000. It is 2,767 sqft.

Here’s a pic of the outside of the building.

Okay, if you expand it to the whole county, there’s this place for $2.9 mil, which is pretty magnificent. 12k square feet, 100+ acres, indoor and outdoor pools.  Looks more like a resort than a home.

In my “neighbourhood” $28,800,000.00, APARTMENT.  Granted it’s a 6400 square foot penthouse.  Link to MLS if you care to browse further:

If you’re willing to move to the suburbs, you could have this gem for $37,900,000.  5000 square feet with 400 metres of ocean front
