In answer to your question, it is not tacky to include the information. However, in many circles it would be rude to host your own party for yourself. Have you talked to your MoH about whether or not she is planning something and whether she would be willing to host something like what you described?

It’s typical for people to pay their own way. I normally paid my own way and included a small amount to cover the brides portion so that quite normal. That being said I would check in with your MOh, it’s total normal for the bride to have input and set the guest list. But this sounds like you are taking over duties and hosting your own events. Which I think can be fine but a bit awkward and some people really dislike it. If it was my friend I wouldn’t have an issue with it. But I think your moh may feel like there no point in her doing one if you are hosting your own party.

@nl:  I think that the scavenger hunt sounds silly for grown women, but I think that the spa time and dinner sound fun. The spa favors are cute, too. I am sorry that the dynamic with your bridesmaids is off.

You’re planning a bachlorette party. If you’re comfortable with that, more power to you, but that is what this is. You said so yourself in your original post that this one is spinning off from.
