I am close with my in-laws. I regulary have dinners with them without the husband even when its not during the holidays. His whole family is just amazing.

Nope. Wouldn’t do it. DH has visted my family without me to go hunting with my dad but I wouldn’t ever go to his family without him.

I would probably go so that they get to spend time with my son but if it weren’t for him I wouldn’t go.

If they were closer, I would feel like I should visit – and I like my in-laws. However, they are 8-10 hours away, and I’m not going to make that trip without DH, since it’s his family.
