I think once children reach a certain age, bathing with them is weird, until they hit puberty. For instance, I stopped bathing with my brother when I started asking questions. But once I started growing breasts and such, my mom didn’t care if I was in the bathroom when she was showering as we only had one bathroom.

I think its very odd but I guess this all depends on what kind of home you grew up in. Some people have a closer family then others

I think that everything you listed is for sure on the lacking appropriate boundaries list.

I think that there should be a clear distiction in parents & children and a modesty of parents that is only let down between them and their spouse.

I have a very good friend that grew up in a house more like you listed… all sharing the bathroom together while someone was in the shower, whether it was mom, dad, or brother… and VERY open about their personal/sex lives and she had to learn some major relational boundaries of “my space/your space”. It took a year of her living in our home to get it… and she still kinda oversteps & smothers sometimes. lol

My parents weren’t totally hush hush on talking about me with personal decisions/sex.. BUT with the background my mom had of being molested as a child she taught us highly of modesty and personal boundaries.

I think you have to have a balance.
