Up, well I was 18 when I met my husband, so I can’t say much.

But before than, from 16 – 18, I was in my first ‘serious’ relationship (serious as in, he moved cross country to be with me and we moved into an apartment together for college) but that only lasted 2 months.

My dad liked him, but knew he was a big push over and never would of let me marry him or anything.

I had a total of four guys who I’d call a boyfriend (including DH) and my DH was definetly the favorite with my parents.  They never had a problem with any of the guys I dated, but they love DH.  I’m very lucky.

I’ve dated about 5 guys, I only called 2 my boyfriend (one is my SO), those were the only ones who met my parents. I started dating my current SO (can’t wait to call him FI then DH) for over 6 years and my family really loves him too. The others pale in comparison, obviously.

I’ve had maybe five serious relationships, spanning a period of 12 years. I’d say FI is definitely the favourite, in terms fo how close they are to him and in the sense that they treat him truly like family. I’m sure that’s not a coincidence either, I could never commit to someone my parents didn’t approve of.

They also adored my second serious boyfriend (we lasted 5 years in my early 20s) because he ticked all the boxes, but my mother says in retrospect that she always had concerns about our compatibility and his temperament.

The others…let’s just say their attitude ranged from downright hatred to disdainful tolerance, lol.

I had 3 boyfriend including my FI..

Without doubt my parents loved my FI best from day 1..

They used to give me a very hard time with the other 2.. But were so happy and encouraging when i started dating FI:)

I had 4 including DH that I introduced to my parents. There were others but they never made it to the meet the parents stage or they were just flings. My parents didn’t like any of the guys I dated until they met DH. They loved him, which turned out well since I went and married him.

I had 4 serious relationships in my life (I am 27)…One out of these 4 was my first husband…and one is my future husband…two other guys I called my boyfriends..they  lasted for about 1.5-2 years each.and I knew pretty much from the start it wouldn’t work (with one I had a pretty big age difference..and I could feel that we have a lot of differences….another one was muslim and wanted me to convert..while I wasn’t willing to change my religion)

I didn’t introduce my boyfriends to my family…but my family knew my first husband (and didn’t like him) …now everybody is in love with my FI..

Around 10, they only met 3 including my husband. My mom was indifferent about one, despised the other and likes my husband (although she always wanted me to date my guy friend from HS lol)

Edit: oh and only 2 including my husband were serious

Ehhh. I can think of 2 other than SO that my parents met, I think 1 more I dated long enough for my mum to recognize the name of on the phone, so 4. Only 2 of those were serious at all, SO and the guy before him. SO had 3 dating partners other than myself that his parents met/recognized, none of them serious, so 4 total.

My dad liked SO the best because SO helped me move when we were just friends (and my then-SO was too busy to help or even visit with my parents that whole weekend), so my dad decided then and there that SO was a good person and/or in love with me (turns out, both). They both soured on SO while we were broken up after college and my dad died before we turned it around, but my mum likes him even more now.

SO’s parents have not liked any of his dating partners, including myself. They personally like the next most recent one, one of his sister’s bridesmaids, but did not approve of their coupling, largely for nonsense reasons.

My FH is my one and only.  We met online when I was 25… I honestly thought i was going to be a lonely single woman my entire life… and my family are clearly thrilled for me/us.  I wish we got to spend more time with my parents though, but since they live in NZ it’s basically restricted to when they come over here (admittedly still fairly frequently, usually every 6-8 weeks, although it’s been more like three months this time and I miss them like crazy).  We do facetime at least once a week though so we both get to talk to them then.  And my grandma was asking to speak to Chris on the phone when we’d only been going out a few months!

DH has been their favorite! But they did like my high school boyfriend and hated my ex-FI.

I don’t really count high school since we were just kids… but I dated a guy from the end of high school (like the last 2 months) for two years. My mom liked him well enough. I then dated a guy who my mom hated… that shit show lasted 5 years on/off. He didn’t treat me very well. I then took a break from relationships for a bit, and I’ve been with my SO nearly 3 years… my mom likes him the best, luckily!

I’ve had 3 serious relationships in which my parents met the guys. DH has definitely been the family favorite. In fact, my sister has really hated all my previous BFs and LOVES my DH.
