Just curious!
You can vote more than once. Please only vote twice if you are voting for you & your SO or if you work more than one job.
This does not include overtime, holiday pay, ect.
I can only add so many options & I have no clue where to stop. lol
Unfortunately, the way you set up the poll it isn't possible to vote twice. You have to check the button that says you can vote multiple times in order to activate that option.
Edit: Looks like you changed it!
You made it so that you can only vote once :) You can edit the poll to allow multiple answers.
Anyways... I don't really know how to answer the question. We both work "professional" jobs (lawyer and corporate accountant). That means that we work when we need to and always get paid the same. Some weeks I work 40 hours. Some weeks I'm working nights and weekends to get ready for a trial. Some weeks my husband doesn't hit 40, others he's working around the clock on a project. So it would just vary widely depending on the week.
I picked $31-36, but this wage reflects the money I get for being a TA, so though the hourly rate is high, the end pay is small because the hours are low.
I make about $19 an hour and my husband makes about $35.
It's hard to say, really. DH is military, so I'm not sure what to include in that. Are we talking just taxable income? Because we got a lot of extra allowances and stuff that are tax-free.
@zippylef: Taxable I suppose? Eeek sorry! When I voted I didn't add my husband's bonus that he gets every month or his overtime pay. His overtime pay is 9 dollars more than his regular hours.
FI makes about $40/hr as an intern! Can't wait for him to work there with a degree :)
I voted based on wages only, not including our benefits packages. One of us earns $44/hour and the other earns $51/hour.
Hard to say. My mister makes $9/hr; I make anywhere from $10-20--my job pays by case, so it varies with how productive I am.
we both make about $30/hr. it's funny how a 2.7% raise only bumped me up about 80cents per hour.
So, yeah... like $13-$15 an hour when you break it down by how many hours he works. Wow. I never calculated it out like that before. I knew military pay sucked, but damn...
He and I both work salary jobs, so I'm not really sure how to respond, especially because I take a lot of work home in the evenings and on weekends.
I voted for what I am making an hour in theory, but I am salaried, and I don't get paid overtime. So it is actually less than that.
I make $10 an hour as a nanny. sometimes $12 or more depending on the occasion..
my FI makes none at the moment. he's in pharmacy school and will start working as an intern in january where they pay $16 an hour.
I make $10.50 per hour, plus $200 every two weeks for my other job (student journalist). My fiance makes $20 per hour.
For those on salary, this is how I calculated it.
I averaged what each DH and I work each day on a monthly basis. Everyone has about 22 potentially workable days a month who work 5 days a week. (not taking time our for lunches which is variable)
Then I took our gross monthly income and divided that by the hours I came up with .
So as an example (not mine)
8.5 hours per day x 2 people x 22 days = 374 hours
So if a couple were to make 10,000 gross pay a month it would equal about $26 an hour.
But of course this is the same "hourly" wage a salaried person makes for staying on on Christmas, July 4th and all holidays and all vacations days. So it would change if you were to factor in 2 weeks vacation, company holidays, sick days etc. It would cause the hourly rate to go up.
FI and I are both salary so I did the conversion. I kinda ballparked his since I've never seen his paystub, but I have an idea.
Also, miminum wage here in PA is $7.25,. In case anyone was curious.
We are both salaried and work more than the standard number of hours per week. No way to figure out our hourly wage.
I'm salaried, but if you break it down into an assumed 40 hrs/week, then it would break down to $15/hr.
DH makes 9.50/hr in a trade that he's still relatively new at and in our small city.
I get paid salary for working "part-time" as a WAHM about 540-600 a mth to suppliment... so it ranges from 5-20 bucks an hr just depending on the month... if we're doing an event for our Non-profit then I make closer to 5/hr (gotta love working nights and weekends of planning graphic design and everything else lol) if not then it's closer to 20 =)
It works for us and I'm able to be home with DS to home school him =)
Welp, this one has a few different answers for me. If we only count the time he actually spends doing his job, it's about $120,000 per hour hahaha. If we count training camps, it's about $150 per hour. So there you go :)
We're both salaried so it's hard to break down but I'm in the $21-$24 range and he's in the $37-$45 range if you treat it like a standard 40 hour week (which they RARELY are). He also consults and he's in the $86+ range for those.
He makes about $33/hour plus doesn't have to pay for gas and gets $40/day stipend and a shload of frequent flyer miles and hotel points.
I don't pay myself regularly; it's whatever's left over after all my shop's bills are paid. I used to make $24ish/hour at my corporate job.
I make little over $40 with full benefit. My DH makes about $250 with full benefit. However, we pay nearly 50% in tax.
I get paid a flat rate each day, no matter how many hours I work. So somedays I techinically make $50/hour (random short days), some days I make $25/hour (more common days). It all evens out.
I make 20.80/hr and he makes $17/hr., he usually brings more home though because he gets salary for 40 hrs a week, and brings home a substantial bonus every month. I am hourly , average between 32 and 36 hrs/week, and have no bonus.
@vmec: Holy smokes, vmec, what does he DO!? Whatever it is, I want to do it too, haha.
I just did our salaries/2080 work hours in a year (this includes all the sick, holiday and vacation since it comes with the salary anyway).
Me $18.75
FI $44.23
One of us makes about $40 an hour and the other brings in $50-$100 an hour .
We're both bank tellers and trying to finish school. I make $10.20 and he makes $9.65.
