    My H says that he doesn’t care what I do down there, and I don’t care what he does. Personally for me I feel cleaner if I shaved/trimmed down there, so thats what I do.

    Seeing the posts of “EEWWW pubic hair!!!!!” makes me sad. We’ve been so programmed to hate ourselves and how we’re naturally designed.

    Not gross, but not my preference for myself

    Well, I think context is important.  I do not think pubic hair is gross by itself, but for example if I am in a hotel and find a hair I will be more grossed out by a pubic hair than a hair from someone’s head.  I agree that it is disturbing that some people find it gross to the extent that the only option is for everyone to wax everything all the time.

    I know it serves a purpose, but I still find it gross. I don’t mind it on DH though.

    I prefer to shave my pubic hair, just like I prefer to shave my legs and underarms. I don’t think it is disgusting and don’t care what other people do with their body hair.

    Do you find it disturbing if people remove hair on other parts of their bodies such as their legs, or is it only pubic hair removal that bothers you?

    I’ve been getting bikini waxed since I as in 7th grade, competitive swimmer.  I did for awhile remove it all, but DH likes some there .. .so some stays now 😀

    I don’t find it gross. I did the whole bare look for a while and I’m just not a fan.

    I’m in the “do what you want, fuck what anyone else thinks” boat. No one should be judging anyone for loving it, hating it, removing it, keeping it, or doing whatever they want with it. It’s your body, no one elses.

    I horseback ride so I spent a lot of time getting sweaty in tight pants. Not shaving/trimming that area leads to bikini line irritations and itching, so I keep things tidy. FI would prefer I didn’t shave at all, so we compromise. Alternately, I really don’t like men who shave down there, but I do appreciate trimming.

    Trimmed hair? Not a problem. A dude that has so much that it goes up my nose and suffocates me while I’m trying to give him a BJ? Big problem!

    Gross is a bit of a strong term. I don’t view my removal of my pubic hair as any different than my removal of any other body hair. It’s no more a ‘loaded’ or political action for me than any other area. Trends ebb and flow. I know I wanted it gone the moment it came in and went about ridding myself of it. Same with armpit hair. My reasons are comfort, hygeine, and yes aesthetic preference. I also have a clitoral hood piercing, so this is an area I do think about in aesthetic terms.

    I think people do a lot of unwarrented hand-wringing when making assumptions about removal being predicated on feelings of ‘grossness’ or peer pressure or a desire to ‘look like prepubescent girls’. Again, it’s just a simple preference, and not a new one at that. Art history class puts paid to that notion.

    @trueblue14: I pity the bees who think pubic hair is gross. I understand preferring to be shaved or waxed, but actually thinking it’s disgusting and wrong? Ugh.

    @IowaDDS13:  + 1

    DH doesn’t care at all, but I don’t like it so I shave it. He really could care less 🙂
