@ddstobe2015:  Slightly different strategy: we had two man rings–I got him a cheap titanium ring to wear for practice, and we bought his wedding ring once we figured out what ring size and shape he preferred.  Honestly, he stopped wearing the practice/mangagement ring as soon as he got his real band, but I was kind of thinking that he would keep wearing it until the wedding.  I don’t mind that he loves his real band too much to keep it on the counter!

My FI wore his for about a week when we first got it. 😛 I just thought it was cute that he was so excited about it.

My husband didn’t wear his until we were married.  But one of my brother’s and a few of my friends did early.  I mentioned it to DH before we were married, and he though tit was really strange!  I was indifferent either way.

SO mentioned to me when we went ring shopping that he thought *I* might like it if he wore a band. He’s been looking at bands for himself online as well. I don’t know if he really will wear one or not, but I thought it was strange when he brought it up. I guess it’s neat and romantic in a way, and I like the idea of other women out there knowing he is off the market, but I don’t want people to be confused or think we are playing pretend.

My FI wears an engagement ring on his left ring finger. I don’t really know what other people think about it, but we both like it a lot 🙂

@ddstobe2015:  We didn’t do anything like that, but if DH had wanted to, I would have been all for it!

I proposed to FI and at the time he was wearing a promise ring I had given him on his right hand ring finger. When he said yes he decided to move it to his left hand ring finger. And since he wants a different wedding band I guess FI has an engagement ring. I bought myself a plain silver band to wear afterwards. So for the time being FI not only wears a ring but a nicer one than I have. Lol! Guess I kinda of deserve it for taking over the traditionally male role.

@MsW-to-MrsM:  The fact that FI wears a band on his wedding ring finger doesn’t seem to deter other women at all. But he does seem to get a good deal of satisfaction pointing it out to them. I was late meeting him and some of his co-workers at the bar and I walked up behind them as he was explaining to another woman that married guys are allowed to go out to bars too and the ring means “off the market”.

Yup yup! In total we will have 4 rings – an ering and wedding band each. His ering will normally be worn on the right hand after the wedding.

I wish he’d wear jewelry period. I love jewelry on men but he can’t stand it. He’s said he’ll probably forget to wear his wedding ring most of the time. (Which doesn’t bother me because of it being THE WEDDING RING, I just like the look.) He won’t even wear a watch.

Maybe I’ll help him remember like I helped him to remember his glasses (by telling him he looks really good.)
