Ok, just got finish watching the movie ... The Notebook.... OMG!!! I am crying as I write this,
So what movies make you cry
Charlie St. Cloud. And strangely, the new Planet of the Apes movie. I don't think I've ever cried as much as Planet of the Apes.
I cry at feaking everything these days due to hormones BUT movies that always made me cry before were...
Beaches <---- ALWAYS
Fireproof
sheesh the trailer for the new movie Courageous had me BAWLING!
UP <--the beginning is just so stinking SAD!
And all drama's & love stories make me cry. lol
@KevinsWife: I BAWLED uncontrollably the first time I watched that!! Like, sick, snot dripping bawled. HA!
@Talishazwi: Charlie St. Cloud totally made me cry--I haven't seen the other but I certainly wasn't anticipating that reaction :)
Pretty much if there is a really happy or really sad part in the movie--I've cried. I think the movie I've cried the most at is Remember Me...and Click! I was NOT expecting either and I was at the theater with the "ugly" cry going on. I usually try to avoid movies at the theater that make me cry, haha.
@KansasPrincess11: what is Charlie St. Cloud about never heard of that, yes it was sad and good, when they died at the end OOPPPS sorry I am emotional
Toy Story 3, Schindler's List, Dead Poets Society, Tangled made me cry happy tears when she finally sees the lanterns... lots of movies. Oh and Waitress when she gives birth. Holy. Cry.
OMG My 13yr DD were just having this conversation.
The Bridge to Terabithia
My Dog Skip
Marley and Me
Steel Magnolias
Forrest Gump
Terms of Endearment
Oh yeah Of coarse Beaches!!!
Just to name a few. LOL
@KevinsWife: LOL no worries about spoilers, I'm a couple glasses of wine in and have a bad memory anyway ;-) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1438254/ That's the link to the IMDB description. It has Zac Efron--you can't go wrong ;-)
@luvmyDwight: AH! Terms of Endearment...I love that movie, and the Evening Star...*sigh.
New Moon... *hangs head in shame* there are tons of other movies that make me cry but none come to mind right now.
Marley & Me (can't even talk about it)
Ladder 49 (My dad is a firefighter so it really tugs at the heartstrings!)
Ok this is old school but has anyone here seen Stella? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0100691/
That one gets me every time too.
@MrsMaine: Ladder 49 makes me cry too. How could you not???!! Agghh so sad.
@KevinsWife: I just watched it too! It's a tearjerker! I cried reading the book more, though.
And....Armageddon. Yea, I'm serious. :-/
Beaches and Steel Magnolias, every single time. They were both movies that my mom and I would watch over and over again. As soon as Wind Beneath my Wind started playing in Beaches, we would both dissolve into a crying mess... sometimes, we would be watching in different rooms, and one of us would call out to the other "are you crying too?" Since my mom passed away, I've had to leave stores whenever Wind Beneath my Wings comes on, because it still makes me cry!
When I needed to test my mascara to see if it was really waterproof, I turned on the newest Star Trek movie. The intro where his dad dies always makes my cry so much!
And my daughter is now crying because John (from Pocahantas) is leaving... she thinks he is dead...
@Shosha1: I'm sorry to hear your mom has passed away. My mom and I are exactly the same as you and your mom were. Those two movies ALWAYS make us cry - then again, we cry at Army Wives every week and even commercials sometimes, then make fun of each other for being such saps! That song though is a major tear jerker, it was played at my grandparents' funerals and even just hearing it on the radio is enough to bring me to tears too.
For some reason, Top Gun always makes me cry. Another one, and this one truly is ridiculous, but I always cry at Sound of Music! Seriously, there is something wrong with me... :-)
Forrest Gump makes me cry like a baby at the end, when Forrest is talking to Jenny's grave about little Forrest. No other movie makes me cry!
Marley and Me.. probably the worst theater experience in my life! I read the book so I knew it was coming, but seriously?! My grandma and I were like sobbing uncontrollably and had to leave before it was over. Pathetic I know. There's a ton more movies that make me cry, I'm a sucker for a sappy movie!
Okay what about The Little Princess?? I know its old but I still love it...and bawl like a baby. every.time.
Armageddon makes me cry, too. Also (and this is kinda weird) Secretariat. The scene where he comes around the turn at The Preakness and it's dead silent then the choir starts singing Oh Happy Day? Yep. Tears. Every time!
Ladder 49
Walk to Remember
The Notebook
There are a lot of them
"Away From Her" always gets me. It doesn't matter how much I try to pump myself up for it, it kills me. It's so much like my grandparents' life.
I don't usually cry at the normal sentimental movies because I get eye-rolly and it breaks the mood :)
Last movie I cried during was Toy Story 3, lol :D
Spirit: Stallion of the Cimaron
Black Beauty (ESPECIALLY when they cart Ginger away)
Up
Saving Private Ryan
Serenity
Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
Fiddler on the Roof
Swing Kids
I'm making the prediction that War Horse is going to have me bawling. I started tearing up watching the preview of it.
Up
The Notebook
PS I Love You
Marley and Me (For SURE)
You ladies are really making me want to see Charlie St. Cloud... it's been on my list for a while, and now I have to go get it from the video store!
@Harley Bride-to-Be: I cried there TOO!
@Christina and Will: yes that's another! Acutally if anyone dies in a movie I totally cry! lol
Love Actully...when she opens the christmas present and it is a CD and not the necklace.
Movies make me cry like there's no tomorrow. I watched The Blind Side for the millionth time yesterday and literally cried through the whole thing. Stupid hormones.
Other movies that make me cry:
MOULIN ROUGE
PS I Love You
Toy Story 3
Titanic
Up
Harry Potter (6-7.2)
Charlie St. Cloud (for sure)
Patch Adams (kills me)
and about a million more.
I have so many that have been tear-jerkers.. but the number one is....
TITANTIC.
Gets me EVERY time.
Bambi. I cry as much now as I did when I was 6 years old. It's probably why I'm against hunting.
@SandyThePoet: Oh yeah, that's a good one too!
Another Disney is the Fox and the Hound. :(
@Miss Marbles: Awww yes! Everytime I hear "best of friends", I cry. :( Aww so sad.
I agree with the many people who have mentioned Marley and Me. Luckily, I was not in the theaters because my FI had to pause the movie and come deal with me because I was in such hysterics.
Totally random but we just watched Friends with Benefits and the part with his dad who has Alzheimer's made me tear up.
Beaches makes me cry every time, i think i saw it when i was 9 and to this day at 25, I still cry like a baby. I also cry when I see tuesdays with morrie. I saw it in an intro philosophy class and cried in class. I love the book though so that helps. I also cry everytime I see love actually and she's talking about knowing he gave someone else the necklace and staying even though life would always be a little bit worse.
